Previous issue date: 2007-04 / Esta dissertação investiga o processo de subjetivação e institucionalização de adolescentes no contexto cultural de uma casa de semiliberdade do Distrito Federal. O arcabouço teórico do trabalho articula as seguintes abordagens: a Psicologia Histórico- Cultural; o Construcionismo Social; a perspectiva do self dialógico; a análise institucional pós-estruturalista; e a epistemologia qualitativa. A adolescência é abordada considerando sua inserção como parte do mundo contemporâneo e caracterizada a partir dos pressupostos do Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente. A produção social da delinqüência, o papel da intencionalidade individual e a cultura da cadeia como circunscritor simbólico que orienta o desenvolvimento adolescente são objetos de discussão. Os objetivos que norteiam o trabalho são: interpretar as trajetórias de desenvolvimento e os contextos de subjetivação de adolescentes atendidos no sistema de medidas socioeducativas; compreender o processo de institucionalização de adolescentes de uma casa de semiliberdade, a partir da análise da cultura institucional; e identificar os modos como adolescentes com histórico infracional constroem, por meio da narrativa de pequenas histórias, significações acerca de si mesmo, da alteridade e do mundo. Foram realizadas observações etnográficas e entrevistas narrativas autobiográficas com adolescentes vivendo em uma casa de semiliberdade. A análise dos indicadores empíricos deu-se em três níveis. O primeiro envolve a análise cultural da instituição, tendo em conta os rituais de revitalização e resistência ali praticados. O segundo nível analisa os posicionamentos dialógicos do selves dos participantes, assim como são narrativamente apresentados nas entrevistas. Dois conjuntos de posicionamentos identitários foram identificados, estruturados em torno de dois personagens centrais: o “macho Lampião” e o “cara de boa”. Por fim, o terceiro nível inclui a análise microgenética de três pequenas histórias contadas pelos adolescentes nas entrevistas. Esta análise comporta três eixos: os posicionamentos do sujeito; posicionamentos dos participantes na interação narrativa; e as macronarrativas envolvidas nos processos de subjetivação em curso. Assim, a análise microgenética das narrativas dos adolescentes foi integrada à análise da cultura e das práticas institucionais, de modo a evidenciar como os valores engendrados na casa de semiliberdade são internalizados e convertidos em posicionamentos identitários. As reflexões e recomendações apresentadas ao final, assim como as estratégias preventivas e reabilitativas formuladas, visam trazer nova luz ao atendimento de adolescentes envolvidos em atividades infracionais. Esperamos haver contribuído para a consolidação de uma rede de saberes consistentes que leve à efetiva proteção, o que todos reconhecemos ser um direito desses adolescentes. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This dissertation aims at investigating the process of subjectivation and institutionalization of adolescents at the cultural context of a partial-time correctional institution in Distrito Federal. The theoretical framework of the research articulates the following approaches: historical-cultural psychology; social constructionism; perspective of the dialogical self; post-structuralist institutional analysis; and qualitative epistemology. Adolescence is approached as considering its relation to the contemporary world. Socioeducational interventions are characterized according to the Child and Adolescent Law. The social production of delinquency, the role of subjective agency and the prison culture as a symbolic constraint of adolescent development are discussed. The main goals guiding the study are: (a) to interpret developmental trajectories and contexts of subjectivation of adolescents attended in the socio-educational system; (b) to understand the process of institutionalization of adolescents in a partial-time correction institution, departing from the analysis of the institutional culture; and (c) to identify the ways adolescents who have a history of infractions construct their sense of self, of alterity, and of the world through the narration of small stories. Ethnographic observations at a partial-time correction institution and autobiographical narrative interviews with institutionalized adolescents were conducted. Data analysis was organized into three levels. The first level involves the cultural analysis of the partial-time correctional institution, considering the institutional rituals of revitalization and resistance. The second level analyses the dialogical positionings of the self, as regularly narrated in the interviews. Two sets of characters were identified in their narratives, organized around two core roles: the “Lampião macho” and the “Easy going guy”. Finally, the third level includes the microgenetic analysis of three small stories, provided by the adolescents along the interviews. The analysis of small stories comprises three axis: self positionings narrated by each adolescent; the positionings assumed by the participants in the interaction; and macronarratives connected to the processes of self orientation. The microgenetic analysis of adolescents´ narratives was articulated to the analysis of institutional culture and practices in order to reiterate how the values, engendered by the partial-time correctional institution, are internalized and converted into identity positionings. At last, reflections, recommendations and rehabilitation strategies are formulated to shed new light on the construction of knowledge about adolescents involved in criminal activities. We hope to have contributed to the consolidation of a network of consistent knowledge and effective protection that are acknowledged rights of these adolescents.
