O objetivo da pesquisa foi analisar as práticas cotidianas com a roça, quintal e a Festa de Caretagem que foram iluminadas com referenciais teóricos e como suporte empírico fontes plurais incluindo entrevistas com narradores locais e documentação em arquivos. O objeto de estudo foi ao longo da pesquisa escrito em quatro capítulos perpassando como fio condutor questões identitárias e cotidiano. No último capítulo o olhar direcionou-se para a Festa de Caretagem. O argumento principal é de que a Festa de Caretagem é uma das maneiras que os remanescentes utilizam para reafirmar a identidade étnica. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The research with the Quilombo (hiding-place of fugitive Negro slaves) residents remanents of São Domingos was baptism in the years of 1980-2010. The objective of this research was to analyze the daily practice with the farm, back-garden and Caretagem's Party that were shine with theory indications and with empiric support plural sources including interviews with local residents and documentation in archive. The objective of study was for the long of the research writing in four chapters grazing like conducting wire identity questions, daily. In the last chapter the look direction for the Caretagem's Party. Tha principal argument is that the Caretagem's Party is one of the way that the remanents use for reaffirm the ethnic identity.
