Previous issue date: 2003 / Resumo: Esta tese investiga o processo de mundialização da educação como elemento de uma nova fase de internacionalização e acumulação capitalistas, conduzida hegemonicamente pelos sujeitos políticos coletivos que assumem o projeto neoliberal de sociabilidade, especialmente o Fundo Monetário Internacional e o Banco Mundial, condutores das reformas estruturais para a América Latina e Caribe; definindo quais as conseqüências da consolidação deste projeto, para a redefinição das políticas educacionais na América Latina e Caribe. No contexto da 'refuncionalização do Estado' e da implantação do programa de 'Educação para Todos', conduzido pelo BM/UNESCO para a região, investigamos o processo de 'desmonte da nação' no Brasil e na Venezuela, enfatizando a educação como elemento do projeto neoliberal e do projeto democrático de massas de sociabilidade e de educação / Abstract: This thesis investigates the mundializations process of the education as an element of a new capitalist internationalization and accumulation phase, led hegemonically by the collective polítical subjects that take over the neoliberal project of sociability, especially the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, that drives the structural reforms for latin America and Caribbean; defining which are the consequences of the consolidation of this project, for the educational politics redefinitions in Latin America and Caribbean. In the context of 'the refuncionalization of the State' and of the implantation of the 'Education for All' program, led by the BM/UNESCO for the region, it investigates the process of 'dismounts of the nation' in Brazil and in Venezuela, emphasizing the education as an element of the neoliberal project and of the mass democratic project for sociability and education / Doutorado / Doutor em Educação
