Previous issue date: 1999 / Resumo: Tempos de revisão no modo de produção e na organização do trabalho, os trabalhadores buscam explicar o desemprego e o umento do potencial de emprego através de valores em torno da Educação, Qualificação Profissional, Automação, Democracia e Movimentos ociais. Em fevereiro de 1996 em Campinas (SP-Brasil), o índice de esemprego foi avaliado em 17,2Zo. Para a pesquisa, foram selecionados leatoriamente 364 trabalhadores na área urbana, (cr < 0,05). A Análise de Regressão Logística, restrita à oposição entre a condição de Empregado e Desempregado, permitiu conhecer as relações e as titudes privilegiadas na tentativa de compreender a realidade. Os empregados discordam e os desempregados concordam que o estudo é essencial para obtenção do emprego, (P < 0.01) e que a qualificação garante a sua manutenção, (P < 0.05). Apesar destas considerações, constatou-se que alta escolaridade está associada com emprego e baixa ou ausente com desemprego. Desempregados afirmam que a soluçâo está nos movimentos sociais, (P < 0.05) enquanto parte dos empregados ponderam que a automação não é a grande responsável pelo desemprego. Conclui-se que o desemprego é uma decisão política e sua solução passa pela vontade política e pela educação / Abstract: Times of revision in the production way and in the rganisation of the work, the workers look for to explain the unemployment and the increase of the employment potential through Education, Professional Qualification, Automation, Democracy and Social Movements. In Campinas (SP-Brazil) the index of unemployment of 17,2¿Zo was founded in Feb l 1996. For the research, 364 workers is random selected, (ER <0,05). The myths, in its evolutionary dynamics, link with the fight for the obtaining and / or maintenance of the employment. Logistic Regression Analysis, now restricted to the
opposition among Employee¿s condition and Unemployed, allowed to know the relationships and the attitudes privileged in the attempt of understanding the reality. The employees don't believe and theunemployed affirm that the study is essential in the obtaining, (P <0.01), and the qualification guarantees the maintenance of the
employment, (P <0.05). But, they who have high scholarity have job and they who is illiterate don¿t have. Unemployed affirm that the solution is in the Social Movements, (P <0.05), and employees believe that the automation isn¿t the great responsable for the unemployee¿s condition. We conclude that unemployed is a political decision and its solution even is a political wish and a educational solution / Doutorado / Doutor em Educação
