Previous issue date: 2001 / Resumo: Esta dissertação objetiva refletir sobre o ensino de leitura literária realizado no âmbito do Curso de Letras da Universidade Federal do Amapá, mediante um estudo de base etnográfica. O foco desta pesquisa foi definido a
partir da minha experiência de ensino, na qual constatei que, apesar da forte influência do discurso do professor e do especialista no desempenho do graduando de Letras, ele é capaz de construir um sentido mais pessoal para a sua
leitura. A base empírica dessa reflexão envolveu a criação de um cenário de pesquisa através de uma proposta de intervenção, em sala de aula de Literatura Brasileira, visando oferecer momentos de leitura de textos de Clarice Lispector
seguidos de discussão, a fim de observar como ocorre a construção de sentido durante a interação leitor/texto; leitor/leitor.
A análise dos dados foi guiada pelas noções teóricas que envolvem texto, leitura e interação, fomecidas, principalmente, pela Literatura e pela Lingüística Aplicada. Um dos resultados da análise revelou que a interação em sala de aula, mesmo num curto período de tempo, permitiu que o aluno se manifestasse mais livremente e, assim pudesse ir além do processo de
decodificação e repetição pura e simples do manual, ainda muito presente na aula de leitura. Nesse sentido, este trabalho propõe reflexões acerca do ensino de Literatura Brasileira em outros níveis de ensino / Abstract: This dissertation has the objective of reflecting upon the teaching of literary Literature conducted in the ambit of the Education Course of the Federal University of Amapá, by means of an etnographical based study. The focus of this
research was definied from my own teaching experience, where I could verify that, despite the strong influence of the professor's and of the specialist's speech upon the performance of the graduating student of Education, this last one is able to
formulate a more personal meaning for this reading. The empiric basis of this reflexion involved the creation of a research
scenario through the proposal of intervention, in a Brazilian Literature classroom, aiming to offer moments for reading Clarice Lispector's texts followed by discussion, in order to observe how the construction of meaning happens during
the interaction reader/text; reader/reader. The analysis of data was guided by theorical notions that involve text,
reading and interaction, provided, mainly, by Literature and Applied Linguistics. One of the results of the analysis showed that the interaction in the classroom, eve"nin a short period of time, allowed the student to voice his opinion freely and,
made him go beyond the process of decodification and pure and simple repetition of the manual, yet very present in the reading class. In that way, this work proposes reflexions about the teaching of Brazilian Literatura in other levels of
teaching / Mestrado / Ensino-Aprendizagem de Lingua Materna / Mestre em Linguística Aplicada
