Previous issue date: 2000 / Resumo: Esta dissertação de Mestrado em Artes Musicais na linha de pesquisa "Processo Criativo em Composição Artística", constituí-se de uma peça para Orquestra Sinfonica e de um estudo analítico sobre o seu Sistema Composicional. A obra composta, "Os Sete Dias da Criação", inspirou-seno texto bíblico do "Gêneses"e representa cada etapa da criação através de um movimento. A pesquisa teórica aborda o contexto histórico-musical, o processo criativo e a estrutura musical interna desta obra. O Sistema Composicional é descrito através de organizações musicais, que foram pesquisadas do ponto de vista musical, e da Teoria Geral dos Sistemas (TGS). Assim, ao se revelar o material, a estrutura
e a dinâmica destas organizações, conclui-se que a TGS pode ser aplicada à análise dos Sistemas Composicionais. Desta forma, observa-se que uma gama imensa de futuros estudos podem ser derivados deste / Abstract: This dissertation, to obtain a Musical Arts Master degree, follows the research line "Creative Process in Artistic Composition". It comprises a symphonic piece and an analytical study of its compositional system. The composition, titled "The Seven Days of the Creation", was inspired by the Bible text of "Genesis" and presents each day of the creation in a different musical movement. The theoretical research discussed here is concerned with historic musical issues, the applied creative process and the work's internal musical structure. The Compositional System is studied using the concept of Musical Organisations that were derived from musical viewpoints and from the General Theory of the Systems (GTS). Then, by revealing the material, the structure of such organisations, it was possible to conclude that GTS could be a tool to analyse compositional systems in general. Finally, it was also possible to observe a wide variety of further studies driven by the issues presented in this dissertation / Mestrado / Mestre em Artes
