The aim of the study is to understand how the language needed for the construction of meaning is processed through a bibliographical research involving theoretical psychoanalysis and neo-pragmatism. The language of Jacques Lacan and the psychoanalysis of Jurandir Costa Freire were taken as a departure point in the study as well as the Freudian idea of unconscious and the neo-pragmatism of Rorty and Davidson, so as to develop a possible dialogue between subject and language. Previous issue date: 2010 / Busca-se através deste estudo bibliográfico, envolvendo os teóricos da psicanálise e do neopragmatismo, como se processa a linguagem necessária à construção do sujeito, assim como a relação deste com o mito. Tomou-se como base para esta pesquisa a linguagem na psicanálise de Jacques Lacan e Jurandir Freire Costa perpassando pelo inconsciente freudiano e pelo neopragmatismo de Rorty e Davidson; objetiva-se com isso traçar um possível diálogo entre sujeito e a linguagem. Além dos teóricos principais, utilizou-se o estudo sobre mitos de LéviStrauss e as mitológicas de Roland Barthes, relacionado-os à pesquisa clínica realizada pela pesquisadora para leitura do sujeito e da linguagem dos adictos/toxicômanos contemporâ- neos.
