Previous issue date: 2017-02-13 / The present study aimed to analyze the contributions of internship conducted at an area of practice is different to that of the classroom to UFPB/Campus I for the training of students of Pedagogy of the University. For this reason, we carried out a qualitative study, descriptive and exploratory. This was first, with a literature review and documentary about internship and formation of a pedagogue and the pedagogy course, focusing on areas not directly related to education. Later, there was an exploratory study from documentary sources of Coordination of Internship and Monitoring (CEM): data; plans of activities of internship and reports of internship holders. Finally, we performed a semi-structured interview with the manager of the CEM, with supervisors/mentors of internship and with the holders. The processing of such data was conducted by means of content analysis. From the statements of the subject referenced, it is considered that, despite the shortcomings, this experience contributes to both the institution, provided the grantor of internship, as to the permanence and to the formation of the student of pedagogy, especially in the areas of management and research, linked also to the teaching. In the end, proposals were made for actions, aiming at the improvement in the management and training of the internship within the University. / O presente trabalho teve por objetivo analisar as contribuições do estágio realizado em uma área de atuação diferente à da sala de aula na UFPB/Campus I para a formação de estudantes de Pedagogia dessa Universidade. Para isso, realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa, de cunho descritivo e exploratório. Procedeu-se, primeiramente, com uma revisão bibliográfica e documental sobre estágio e formação do Pedagogo e do curso de Pedagogia, com foco em áreas de atuação não diretamente relacionadas ao ensino. Posteriormente, realizou-se um estudo exploratório a partir das fontes documentais da Coordenação de Estágio e Monitoria (CEM): dados; planos de atividades de estágio e relatórios de estágio. Por fim, foi realizada uma entrevista semiestruturada com a gestora da CEM, com os supervisores/orientadores de estágio e com os estagiários. O tratamento desses dados se deu por meio da análise de conteúdo. A partir das falas dos sujeitos referenciadas, considerou-se que, apesar das lacunas, esta experiência contribui tanto para a Instituição, na condição de unidade concedente de estágio, quanto para a permanência e para a formação do estudante de Pedagogia, sobretudo nas áreas da gestão e da pesquisa, articuladas também à docência. Ao final, foram apresentadas propostas de ações, visando a melhorias na gestão e na formação do estágio no âmbito da Universidade.
