Previous issue date: 2013-02-25 / This study aimed to analyze the reports of teachers about the transversality process of the Transverse Thematics / Block Education for Health and Sexual Orientation in teaching in a public school in Porto Alegre from March 2011 to July 2012. It is an exploratory descriptive study structured from a qualitative approach, which was developed from the experience of 15 teachers, study subjects, who spoke in favor of participating in the research, questioning the discussions about the applicability of transversality and interdisciplinarity of TTs in school. Data were obtained through focus groups techniques, which occurred in nine meetings of discussion and reflection. The text transcripts of the recordings related to the subjects' statements were submitted to content analysis proposed by Bardin (2009). The analysis revealed three categories: situational Diagnosis front of interdisciplinary and cross-cutting, which covers all the nuances of the practice of teachers facing this issue; transversality Meaning and significance of working transversally, where teachers reframe transversality, and the third category , Actions that enable teaching cross, which points to possible strategies in the effective interaction. The research results suggest that there are difficulties for the transversality and interdisciplinarity to be effective in schools. However, when the thematic was problematized in the discussion groups, it was possible to re-evaluate the process of working and teaching in the mold of transversality. This experience pointed to the importance of reviewing the methodologies applied in activities, especially in training courses and in classrooms, the practice suggesting the use of projects, the importance of collective work and dialogue, tools that can lead to applicability of TTs / Nesta pesquisa teve-se o objetivo de analisar os relatos de professores sobre o processo da transversalidade das Tem?ticas Transversais/ Bloco Educa??o para Sa?de e Orienta??o Sexual na pr?tica docente em uma escola p?blica estadual de Porto Alegre, RS, no per?odo entre mar?o de 2011 a julho de 2012. O estudo qualitativo, do tipo explorat?rio-descritivo, foi desenvolvido a partir da experi?ncia de 15 professores, problematizando discuss?es sobre a aplicabilidade da transversalidade e interdisciplinaridade das Tem?ticas Transversais na escola. Os dados foram obtidos por meio da t?cnica de grupos focais, em nove encontros de discuss?es e reflex?es. Os textos transcritos das grava??es referentes ?s falas dos sujeitos foram submetidos ? an?lise de conte?do, proposta por Bardin (2009). A an?lise revelou tr?s categorias: Diagn?stico situacional frente ? interdisciplinaridade e transversalidade, que aborda todas as nuances da pr?tica dos docentes frente a este tema; Significando a transversalidade e o significado de trabalhar de modo transversal, em que os docentes ressignificam a transversalidade e, a terceira categoria, A??es que viabilizem o ensino transversal, que aponta estrat?gias poss?veis na efetiva??o da transversalidade. Os resultados de pesquisa sugerem haver dificuldades para que seja efetivada a transversalidade e a interdisciplinaridade na escola. No entanto, ao problematizarem a tem?tica nos grupos de discuss?o foi poss?vel reavaliar o processo de trabalho e ensino nos moldes da transversalidade. Esta experi?ncia apontou para a import?ncia de rever as metodologias aplicadas nas atividades, em especial nos cursos de forma??o e nas salas de aula, a pr?tica com a utiliza??o de projetos, a import?ncia do trabalho coletivo e o di?logo, sugeridas como ferramentas que podem levar ? aplicabilidade das Tem?ticas Transversais
