Previous issue date: 2015-08-28 / This study aims to analyze how it occurs the dynamic of the relationship between dynamic capabilities and organizational competences of a Brazilian power generation company that have been impacted by several changes in the regulatory frameworks occurred from the early 1990s to the present day. One major change in the power generation business model was the introduction of a competitive environment and other profound modifications in legislation and operational structure of the entire Brazilian electricity sector. In this new context is likely that companies have reviewed their strategies, reassessing their organizational competences in order to adapt and to continuously achieve their business objectives. In a constantly changing environment, the dynamic capabilities approach has been related to the way by which companies create and capture value through reconfiguring their resources and competences.The research had a qualitative approach and it was conducted through a case study with historical and longitudinal approach on Cemig Generation and Transmission S / A. As a result, it was possible to characterize a subdivision into three historical periods of the company in view of the period from 1990 to 2013. It was also identified three organizational competences of Cemig GT, which have changed over the analyzed historical period, impacted by two dynamic capabilities: the capability to develop alliances and partnerships and the capability to mobilize people for business. The results obtained helped to understand the trajectory of the organization during the study period, indicating that the dynamic capabilities developed by the company have leveraged their organizational competences, contributing to the results the company has achieved. / Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar como ocorre a din?mica da rela??o entre as capacidades din?micas e as compet?ncias organizacionais desenvolvidas ao longo do per?odo de 1990 a 2013, em uma empresa do setor de gera??o de energia el?trica do Brasil, frente aos impactos provocados pelas mudan?as nos diversos marcos regulat?rios setoriais. Uma das principais altera??es no modelo de neg?cio de gera??o de energia el?trica foi a introdu??o de um ambiente competitivo al?m de outras profundas transforma??es na legisla??o e na estrutura de funcionamento de todo o setor el?trico brasileiro. Nesse novo contexto ? prov?vel que as empresas tenham repensado suas estrat?gias, reavaliando suas compet?ncias organizacionais de modo a adaptarem-se continuamente com a finalidade de atingirem seus objetivos empresariais. Em ambientes de constantes mudan?as, a abordagem das capacidades din?micas tem sido relacionada com a maneira atrav?s da qual as empresas criam e capturam valor atrav?s da reconfigura??o de seus recursos e compet?ncias.A pesquisa teve enfoque qualitativo e foi desenvolvida atrav?s da realiza??o de um estudo de caso com abordagem hist?rico-longitudinal na empresa CEMIG Gera??o e Transmiss?o S/A. Como resultados, foi poss?vel caracterizar uma subdivis?o em tr?s per?odos hist?ricos da empresa tendo em vista o per?odo de 1990 a 2013. Tamb?m foram identificadas tr?s compet?ncias organizacionais da Cemig GT, que se modificaram ao longo do per?odo hist?rico analisado, impactadas por duas capacidades din?micas: a capacidade de desenvolver alian?as e parcerias e a capacidade de mobilizar as pessoas para o neg?cio. Os resultados obtidos ajudam a compreender a trajet?ria da organiza??o no per?odo de estudo, demonstrando que as capacidades din?micas desenvolvidas pela empresa potencializaram as suas compet?ncias organizacionais, contribuindo para os resultados que a empresa tem conquistado.
