Previous issue date: 2018-03-27 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior - CAPES / This doctoral study analyzes aspects of the city, the port and the entrepreneurship of Itaja? from 1970 until today in search of a common dialogue between the sectors that converge urbanity, the port structure and the new crafts that were created through the economic activities, ruled in the trajectory of the company G. Miranda Ltda. In this sense, it analyzes the changes in the city promoted by increasing migrations and affirms that the changes were generated from the commercial demands. On the other hand, the role of the elites in the works that founded the port, the main economic cycles that propelled Itaja? in the first half of the 20th century, is analyzed, enabling Itaja? to be the great gateway for products and services in the 1970s. people. The research aims to verify the influence of entrepreneurship, personified in some names to elaborate the rise of a trade and its increasing decline in the advent of technological innovations. For this purpose, the oral testimony collected in the city of Itaja? was used as the source for this investigation, and the characters were chosen for the pertinence of the research, the yearbooks of the city of Itaja? that are rich in information about society, economy and culture and the company file G. Miranda Ltda. / Este estudo de doutoramento analisa aspectos da cidade, do porto e de uma empresa de Itaja? de 1970 at? atualidade em busca de um di?logo comum entre os setores que conflui a urbanidade, a estrutura portu?ria e os novos of?cios que foram criados atrav?s das atividades econ?micas, pautados na trajet?ria da empresa G. Miranda Ltda. Nesse sentido, analisa-se as mudan?as na urbe promovidas por crescentes migra??es e afirma-se que as mudan?as foram geradas a partir das demandas comerciais. Em outra borda, analisa-se o papel das elites nas obras que fundaram o porto, os principais ciclos econ?micos que impulsionaram Itaja? na primeira metade do s?culo XX, propiciando que nos anos setenta do s?culo XX Itaja? fosse a grande porta de entrada de produtos e pessoas. A pesquisa tem por objetivo verificar a influ?ncia do empresariado, personificado em alguns nomes para elaborar a ascens?o de um of?cio e seu crescente decl?nio no advento das inova??es tecnol?gicas. Para isso, utilizou-se como fonte para essa investiga??o, os depoimentos orais, coletados na cidade de Itaja? ? e escolhidos os personagens pela pertin?ncia a pesquisa, os anu?rios da cidade de Itaja? que s?o ricos em informa??es sobre sociedade, economia e cultura e o arquivo privado da empresa G. Miranda Ltda.
