Previous issue date: 2013 / This dissertation aims to examine whether there is an abiding and reframing of the favelado/slum stigma in the housing complexes within the city of Fortaleza from the speech of the technical agents and in the activities of the Fortaleza Foundation and Housing - HABITAFOR. It has been theoretically supported by analysis of the concept of "stigma" by Goffman, which can be identified in the reports of social workers about the residents, in which it realizes the vision of slum as a place of disorder that continues in the housing complexes. Methodologically, we opted for a qualitative study in this research, from the perspectives far and outside and near and inside, as defined by Magnani. Semi-structured interviews were developed with the staff of the institution, as well as recordings of observations in field diary. The research has shown that the stigma of favelado/slum remains and keeps reproducing inside the housing complexes of HABITAFOR. / Esta dissertação tem como objetivo analisar se existe uma permanência e uma ressignificação do estigma de favelado/favela dentro dos conjuntos habitacionais do município de Fortaleza a partir da fala dos técnicos e nas atividades da Fundação Habitacional de Fortaleza- HABITAFOR. Tem-se como suporte teórico a análise do conceito de “estigma“ de Goffman, que pode ser identificada nos depoimentos dos técnicos sociais sobre os moradores, nos quais se percebe a visão de favela como um local de desordem, que continua nos conjuntos habitacionais. Como metodologia de pesquisa, optou-se por um estudo de natureza qualitativa, nas perspectivas de longe e de fora de perto e de dentro, tais como definidas por Magnani. Recorre-se, ainda, a entrevistas semiestruturadas com técnicos da instituição, além de registros de observações em diário de campo. A pesquisa mostrou que o estigma de favelado/favela ainda permanece e vai se reproduzindo dentro dos conjuntos habitacionais da HABITAFOR.
