Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento CientÃfico e TecnolÃgico / Este trabalho tem como objeto de pesquisa o Projeto AlianÃa com o Adolescente pelo Desenvolvimento SustentÃvel na MicrorregiÃo do MÃdio Jaguaribe, Cearà (PAA). Os sujeitos ouvidos sÃo os jovens formados em comunicaÃÃo pelo Projeto. O nosso objetivo central à analisar se os jovens comunicadores sentem-se capazes de reeditar o ideÃrio do PAA, utilizando os conhecimentos adquiridos em jornalismo comunitÃrio. Para alcanÃar o objetivo, utilizamos como metodologia a observaÃÃo participante, pesquisa bibliogrÃfica e documental, anÃlise de jornais institucionais do Projeto, entrevistas abertas e grupos focais. Estes foram os principais instrumentos de nossa investigaÃÃo, que busca contribuir com o debate acerca do papel da comunicaÃÃo como fim e nÃo como meio de empoderamento. A pesquisa identificou que os jovens se sentem capazes de reeditar as idÃias do Projeto em suas atividades cotidianas mas nÃo atravÃs do uso de tÃcnicas de comunicaÃÃo. Para isso, eles enfatizam que à necessÃrio um trabalho continuado de formaÃÃo de jovens comunicadores, alÃm de apoio à inserÃÃo destes em veÃculos de comunicaÃÃo locais. / The research object of this work is the project "Alliance with the adollescent for the
Sustainable Development at the Microregion
of the Mid Jaguaribe, CearÃ" (PAA). The
listened "persons" are the young formed by the project in the communication training
course. Our main objective is to analyze
if the young communicators feel themselves
capable to reedit the ideas
of PAA, using the knowledge
acquired in communitarian
journalism. To reach the objective, we utilized as methodology the participant
observation, bibliographical and documental research, analyses of project's institutional
journals, open interviews and focal groups.
These were the main instruments of our
investigation, which aims to contribute to the debate about
the role of communication as
an end, not a way of empowerment. The research identified that the young feel capable of reedit the ideas of the project in their daily activities but not through the use of communication techniques. For this, they emphasize that a continued work of formation of young communicators, besides the support to their insertion in local communication vehicles is necessary.
