Previous issue date: 2011 / This dissertation studies the organization of Community Radio in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The main objective is to draw a panorama of the current stations installed in eight counties that comprise the micro region of Sananduva in the northwest of the state. The research sought to identify the profile of these stations, checking whether they correspond to the concept of "Community" as defined by Law 9. 612/98 and presented by researchers who deal with the subject. The research is descriptive-analytical type. Data collection, qualitative, was carried out using various research techniques combining semi-structured interviews, research papers / files, direct observation and analysis of programming. The classification and analysis of the stations allowed confirming the initial hypothesis presented by the author: the Community Radio of micro region of Sananduva, mostly not match the definition given by the law of community broadcasting and the concept of the authors researched. / Esta dissertação estuda a organização das Rádios Comunitárias do interior do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. O objetivo principal é traçar um panorama atual das emissoras instaladas em oito municípios que integram a microrregião de Sananduva, no noroeste do Estado. A pesquisa procurou identificar o perfil dessas emissoras, verificando se as mesmas correspondem ao conceito de “Comunitária” conforme definição apresentada pela Lei 9. 612/98 e por pesquisadores que tratam do tema. A pesquisa é do tipo analítico-descritiva. A coleta de dados, de natureza qualitativa, foi realizada através de técnicas de pesquisa variadas unindo entrevistas semi-estruturadas, pesquisa em documentos/arquivos, observação direta e análise da programação. A classificação e análise das emissoras possibilitou confirmar a hipótese inicial apresentada pelo autor: as Rádios Comunitárias da microrregião de Sananduva, em sua maioria, não correspondem à definição apresentada pela Lei de radiodifusão comunitária e à conceituação dos autores pesquisados.
