Previous issue date: 2009 / This dissertation has as objective to reflect about the discourses and practices of Psychology related to violence in childhood in the context of the Child and Adolescent Statute (CAS). In section I, we took precedence on the childhood histories and we examined the meanings and practices related to children, in the perspective of historicity. For this, there were examined the elements of construction and transformation of childhood meanings and their articulation as social practices. We also stressed the childhood meanings in Brazilian context, basing on the policies directed to children in different moments. The carried out reflections let us understand processes involved in the elaboration and promulgation of the CAS as expression of the social practices concerned to children in the different contexts and times of implantation of this Act. In section II, we aim to identify discourses and practices of Psychology related to violence in childhood having as basis for the reflections the Child and Adolescent Statute and the productions of a significant journal for this area in Brazilian context. In this process, we searched the meanings attributed to violence in the last years; and we sought to see positions took by Psychology in the period of discussion, planning and implantation of the CAS. The results of the research point to the discourse of the knowledge fragmentation and standardize of the manners of being, growing and living of the subject. The analyses also indicate a search of ruptures in the Psychology insertion manners and interfaces accomplishment with the social policies. / Esta dissertação tem como objetivo refletir acerca dos discursos e práticas da Psicologia relacionadas à violência na infância, no contexto de implantação do Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA). Na Seção I priorizamos as histórias da infância e examinamos sentidos e práticas relacionadas às crianças, na perspectiva da historicidade. Para tanto, foram examinados elementos da construção e transformação de significados de infância e sua articulação às práticas sociais. Enfatizamos também os sentidos de infância no contexto brasileiro, tendo como base as políticas dirigidas às crianças em diferentes momentos. As reflexões realizadas permitiram compreender processos históricos relativos à elaboração e promulgação do ECA como expressão das práticas sociais concernentes às crianças nos diferentes contextos e tempos de implantação e construção desta Lei. Na Seção II objetivamos identificar discursos e práticas da Psicologia relativas à violência na infância, tendo como base para as reflexões o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente e as produções de um periódico significativo para a área no contexto brasileiro. Neste processo, investigamos sentidos atribuídos à violência ao longo dos últimos anos; e buscamos vislumbrar posições assumidas pela Psicologia no período de discussão, planejamento e implementação do ECA. Os resultados da pesquisa apontam para discursos de fragmentação do conhecimento e padronização dos modos de ser, crescer e viver do sujeito. As análises indicam também a busca de rupturas dos modos de inserção da Psicologia e efetivação de interfaces com as políticas sociais.
