Computer Visualization Fatigue Testing in Composite Laminates

ABSTRACT
This research adopts virtual reality technology to construct a virtual experimental system for fatigue testing in composite laminates. May let the user glance over the entire experimental process, including the specimen manufacturing and the machine operation, and providing the user to simulate the operation of material testing machine. In addition, also may expedite the inquiring of correlative data and the related information of experiment. That is different from the traditional way of teaching. By the 3D operation display, it enables the beginner to quickly understand the entire experiment operating sequence, that will save testing time, reduce cost, promise safety, enhance the interest of study and promote the study efficiency.
This research uses virtual reality simulation software 3D Studio MAX 5.0 and Cosmo World 2.0, and the import of photo edit software PhotoImpact to create a virtual experimental system for fatigue testing in composite laminates. And use JavaScript language to control virtual scenes, enable the virtual scene along with user's operation, and present the instantaneity correspondence. Additionally, we use homepage technology and JavaScript language to make an inquiry surface in experimental data, that enhances the usability of this system.
