Los medios de comunicación cumplen un rol fundamental para difundir información, pero también son un puente para concientizar y sensibilizar a los ciudadanos sobre la adopción de actitudes empáticas frente a las personas con discapacidad, quienes aún constituyen uno de los grupos más vulnerables del Perú. En ese contexto, resulta oportuno e interesante identificar qué representaciones proponen los diarios El Comercio y Trome sobre las personas con discapacidad y su condición, a partir de un seguimiento sistemático a un determinado corpus de relatos periodísticos.
Por lo tanto, el objetivo de esta investigación es analizar cómo es y qué matices tiene el discurso periodístico de las noticias seleccionadas de cada diario, durante el segundo semestre del 2016. De esta manera, aportar conocimientos sobre el tema y, al mismo tiempo, contribuir a la inclusión social de esta minoría. / The mass media plays a fundamental role in disseminating information, but they’re also a bridge to raise awareness and sensitize citizens about the adoption of empathic attitudes towards people with disabilities, who still constitute one of the most vulnerable groups in Peru. In this context, it is timely and interesting to identify which representations propose the newspaper El Comercio and Trome about people with disabilities and their condition, from a systematic follow-up to a certain corpus of journalistic stories.
The objective of this investigation is analyze how it is and what nuances are present in the journalistic discourse of the selected news of each newspaper.
