Se analizaron por Fijación de Complemento (FC) contra virus Junín, 1279 sueros bovinos del Partido de Tandil. La positividad fue de 1.79 con títulos que oscilaron entre 1/4 a 1/32. Los porcentajes de acuerdo a los 5 lugares que resultaron positivos sobre los 13 muestrados, oscilaron entre 1,40 y 13,33. Respecto a las edades de los animales con serología positiva, contaban entare un mes y 5 años. Setenta y cinco sueros incluyendo los positivos por FC no fueron capaces de neutralizar 100 DL50 de virus Junín inoculadas en ratones lactantes por vía intracerebral. Se discuten las posibles causas de estos resultados. / One thousand two hundred seventy nine bovine sera from Tandil country were tested by Complement-Fixation against Junín virus. Positive results with titers between 1/4 to 1/32 were found in 1,79 of them. Five of thirteen places investigated were found positive by CF with positivity ranging from 1,40
to 13,33. Positive sera by CF were found in bovines from 1 month to 5 years old. None of the 65 sera tested including the ones positive by CF could neutralized 100 DL50 of Junin virus inoculated to suckling mice by intracerebral route. The causes of these results are discused.
