Los gastrópodos constituyen un grupo de moluscos con amplia representación en secuencias marinas paleozoicas y un importante registro en el Carbonífero-Pérmico de la Patagonia Argentina. El material estudiado en el presente trabajo procede del Paleozoico tardío de la Cuenca de Tepuel-Genoa (noroeste de la provincia del Chubut), de una secuencia siliciclástica definida como Grupo Tepuel (Formaciones Jaramillo, Pampa de Tepuel, Mojón de Hierro y Río Genoa) aflorante en la Sierra de Tepuel, Sierra de Languiñeo y las áreas de El Molle, Quebrada Honda y el valle del Río Genoa. Este estudio representa un aporte más a una serie de trabajos desarrollados en los últimos 40 años tendientes a describir las faunas de gastrópodos y resolver problemas bioestratigráficos del Grupo Tepuel. Los ejemplares estudiados provienen de las colecciones de la División Paleozoología Invertebrados del Museo de La Plata. / Gastropods from the upper Paleozoic of the Tepuel-Genoa Basin, Chubut Province, Argentina. Systematics, biostratigraphy and paleobiology. The gastropods constitute a group of mollusks that is widely represented in Paleozoic marine successions and well known in the Carboniferous-Permian of the Argentinian Patagonia. The material studied in this Thesis comes from the upper Paleozoic of the Tepuel-Genoa Basin (norwest of Chubut Province), from a siliciclastic sequence known as Tepuel Group (Jaramillo, Pampa de Tepuel, Mojón de Hierro and Río Genoa formations) which crops out in Sierra de Tepuel, Sierra de Languiñeo, El Molle, Quebrada Honda, and Valle del Río Genoa areas. This study complements a long series of contributions carried out during last 40 years to describe gastropod faunas and to solve biostratigraphic problems of the Tepuel Group. The specimens studied here belong to the Collection of the División Paleozoología Invertebrados of the Museo de La Plata.
