Orientador: Juliana Alvares Duarte Bonini Campos / Banca: Patrícia Petromilli Sasso Garcia / Banca: Jorge Manuel Vieira Capela / Resumo: O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar o comportamento de consumo de bebidas alcoólicas de estudantes do ensino médio do município de Araraquara - SP e comparar a efetividade da detecção de binge drinking, utilizando a versão completa do Teste de Identificação de Desordens devido ao Álcool (AUDIT) e suas formas reduzidas (AUDIT-C e AUDIT-3). No capítulo 1 realizou-se este estudo de revisão de literatura com o intuito de alertar os profissionais da área de saúde sobre a prática de binge drinking, os principais fatores de risco, suas conseqüências e métodos de prevenção. Foram pesquisadas as bases de dados Bireme, Medline, Pubmed e periódicos Capes utilizando os descritores binge drinking, adolescentes e alcoolismo em português e inglês, sem limite de ano de publicação. No segundo capítulo, estimou-se a confiabilidade do Teste de identificação de transtornos devido ao uso de álcool (AUDIT) em 141 estudantes com idade de 14 a 17 anos (14,93±0,62). A consistência interna do instrumento foi estimada pelo Coeficiente alfa-Cronbach e sua reprodutibilidade pela estatística Kappa ponderada por ponto e por intervalo de 95% de confiança. O AUDIT apresentou excelente consistência interna (α=0,80, rinter-item=0,29). A maioria das questões apresentou reprodutibilidade classificada como "boa". Conclui-se que o AUDIT revelou-se um instrumento confiável para o levantamento de informações sobre o consumo de álcool em adolescentes. O capítulo 3 foi realizado com o objetivo de verificar a capacidade de discriminação da versão completa do teste de transtornos devido ao uso de álcool (AUDIT) e suas formas reduzidas (AUDIT-3 e AUDIT-C) na detecção de beber em binge em adolescentes e definir o ponto de corte ótimo para casa teste. Chapter one of this study shows the literature review in order to alert health professionals about the practice of binge drinking, the main risk factors, consequences and prevention methods. The databases Bireme, Medline, Pubmed and Capes journals were researched, using the binge drinking, teenage and alcoholism keywords in Portuguese and English, without publication-year limits. The second chapter estimates the reliability of the identification test of disorders due to alcohol use (AUDIT) in 141 students 14 to 17 years of age (14.93 ± 0.62). The internal consistency of the instrument was estimated by Cronbach's alpha coefficient and its reproducibility by the weighted Kappa by point and 95% confidence interval.
