Orientador: Moacir Gigante / Banca: Pedro Geraldo Tosi / Banca: Vera Lucia Navarro / Resumo: Este estudo empreende uma investigação do sistema produtivo capitalista das últimas décadas, caracterizado pela crescente "Organização Científica do Trabalho". Para tanto, analisamos os conceitos e saberes da "produção científica" no século XIX e XX, pois consideramos sustentáculos necessários e indispensáveis para a posterior análise da história do desenvolvimento do processo produtivo na indústria coureiro-calçadista em Franca. Essa análise tem como foco a produção Taylorista, Fordista e Toyotista e o exame das reações dos sapateiros a estas mudanças de cunho tecnológico e organizacional em seu cotidiano. A apreensão de tais reações é realizada por meio da história oral, e a opção por colher depoimentos tem o intuito de atingir um sentido social, ao mergulhar nas experiências vividas sob diferentes circunstâncias. Tais depoimentos almejam investigar as manifestações da tradição operária, tradição essa apreendida como toda uma gama de antigos e novos comportamentos hábitos, atitudes, costumes, companheirismo, práticas educativas e formas de solidariedade entre os trabalhadores do calçado. Neste trabalho também fazemos uma reflexão sobre a heterogeneidade produtiva/tecnológica que caracteriza o setor calçadista. Essa é significativa para entendermos como um fenômeno global, que é a reestruturação produtiva, imprime uma característica local na produção e nas tradições dos trabalhadores da indústria calçadista. Discutimos, ainda, o papel do Estado e das empresas em contraposição às classes sociais trabalhadoras do "chão de fábrica". Tal pesquisa tem como escopo esclarecer os mecanismos que possibilitaram a composição de novas formas de sociabilidade e tradições dos trabalhadores da indústria calçadista de Franca-SP, pela análise das relações sociais de produção, que no capitalismo são erigidas fundamentalmente na dialética da mais-valia / Abstract: This study undertakes an investigation of the capitalist productive system throught the last decades, caracterized by the growing "Scientific Management Organization". In order to do so, we will analyze concepts and knowledges of "scientific production" in the XIX and XX centuries, as we consider necessary and undispensable supporters for further analysis of the leather/footwear industry process and it's development's history in Franca. This analysis has on focous the Taylorism, Fordism and Toyotism ways of production, and the the reactions of footwear workers in front of these technological and organizational changes in their day-today life. The apprehension of these reactions is made through oral history, and the choice in taking testimonials aims to reach a social meaning, diving into life experiences lived in different circumstances. These testimonials crave to investigate manifestations of worker's tradition, tradition that was apprehended as a whole range of old and new behavior habits, attitudes, costums, companionship, educational practics and solidarity actions among footwear workers. In this study we will also reflect on the productive/technological heterogeneity that caracterizes the footwear sector. This is significant for understanding how a global phenomenon, which is the restructuring of the means of production, print a local feature in the production and traditions of the footwear workers. We also discuss the role of the State and business classes as opposed to the social class of workers of "chão de fábrica". The following research aims to clarify the mechanisms that enable the composition of new forms of social workers and traditions of the footwear industry in Franca, SP, through the analysis of social relations of production, that in capitalism are built mainly in the dialectic of surplus value / Mestre
