Orientador: Stela Miller / Banca: Dagoberto Buim Arena / Banca: Nilza Sanches Tessaro Leonardo / Resumo: Sustentada pelos aportes da Teoria Histórico-Cultural, esta investigação visou a verificar o papel do brincar no processo de apropriação da linguagem escrita na criança pré-escolar, ressaltando-o como fonte de desenvolvimento das formas superiores de conduta, dentre elas a função simbólica que é tão importante no processo complexo do desenvolvimento histórico e cultural da aquisição da linguagem escrita na criança pré-escolar. Além disso, de forma específica, buscamos verificar como se dá o processo de formação das funções psíquicas superiores no desenvolvimento infantil, analisar a função do brincar na formação das funções psíquicas superiores e verificar o brincar como momento constituinte da pré-história do desenvolvimento da linguagem escrita. Para a realização desta pesquisa qualitativa, que foi constituída por levantamento e estudo bibliográfico/teórico, a investigação se sustentou na análise interpretativa do processo de interiorização da cultura na formação das formas superiores de conduta da criança pré-escolar em concordância com os postulados da Teoria Histórico- Cultural. De modo especial, o brincar cumpre papel primordial na pré-história da linguagem escrita, uma vez que a criança passa a utilizar um objeto com o valor de outro (a tampa de panela significando o volante do carro para brincar de motorista), por meio do gesto significativo. Este é um salto qualitativo de extrema importância, pois a criança, por meio da imaginação, das experiências individuais e das características do meio, cria estratégias de adaptação dos objetos às suas necessidades que ainda não são passíveis de concretização (ela ainda não pode na realidade dirigir um carro). (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: Supported by the Historical-Cultural Theory, this study aimed to evaluate the role of playing in the process of written language appropriation in the preschool child, standing it out as a source of superior behavior development, including the symbolic function which is so important in the complex process of the historical and cultural development of written language appropriation in the preschool child. Moreover, in a more specific way, we tried to verify how the superior psychic functions formation takes place in the infantile development, as well as to analyze the function of playing in their formation and also to verify playing as a constituent moment of the prehistory of the written language development. For the accomplishment of this qualitative research, constituted of survey and bibliographical/theoretician study, the inquiry was supported in the interpretative analysis of the internalization process of the culture in the formation of the superior forms of behavior of the preschool child, in agreement with the postulates of the Historical-Cultural Theory. In a special way, playing fulfills a primordial paper in the prehistory of the written language, since the child starts to use an object which has the value of another one (the pan cover meaning the projection of the car, to play the driver), by means of the significant gesture. This is a qualitative jump of extreme importance, therefore the child, by means of imagination, individual experiences and environmental characteristics, creates adaptation strategies of objects of its necessity, which are not yet susceptible of concretion (the child cannot yet drive a car).
