Orientador: Luiz Cláudio Nogueira Mendes / Banca: Ricardo Velludo Gomes de Soutello / Banca: João Barbudo Filho / Resumo: Objetivou-se com esse experimento avaliar o efeito na temperatura corpórea de ovinos lanados, em diversos pontos do corpo, antes e após tosquia, realizada em dez animais de cada grupo vinte dias após o início do experimento, em três condições de manejo: sem sombreamento (SS), com sombreamento parcial (SP) e com sombreamento total (ST). Foram utilizadas quarenta e cinco fêmeas ovinas mestiças Suffolk, com idade superior a 24 meses, identificada individualmente, não tosquiada há pelo menos três anos, criadas todas a pasto, divididas aleatoriamente em três grupos. O manejo dos animais quanto a instalações, piquetes, conduta de aferição das temperaturas, alimentação, suplementação mineral foi idêntico para os três tratamentos. Foram realizadas mensurações diárias das temperaturas com uso de termômetro infravermelho, sendo a luz infravermelha posicionada nas regiões da fronte, nuca, porção interna e externa da lã e períneo; a temperatura retal foi obtida com termômetro clínico de mercúrio. As aferições foram realizadas em três momentos do dia: 7h, 14h, e 17h, durante quarenta dias. A temperatura ambiente e umidade relativa do ar foram anotadas utilizando-se um termohigrômetro. Observou-se diferença significativa nos valores médios de temperatura retal dos animais tosquiados no Grupo SS, no momento 7h; nas médias das temperaturas externas da lã houve diferença significativa entre o Grupo ST e os demais, no momento 7h, e, entre os três grupos no momento 14h; as médias das temperaturas aferidas na fronte foram significativamente diferentes no Grupo SS em relação aos demais, nos momentos 7h, 14h e 17h, nos animais tosquiados, sendo que nos animais com lã o Grupo ST diferiu significativamente dos outros dois no momento 7h, e o Grupo SS diferiusignificativamente dos demais no momento... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract:The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effect on body temperature of wool sheep in various parts of the body before and after shearing in three management conditions: with no shading (NS), with partial shading (PS) and total shading (TS). Were used forty-five Suffolk crossbred ewes, aged 24 months, identified individually, not shorn at least three years, created all the pasture, divided randomly into three groups. The management of animals and facilities, paddocks, conduct of measurement of temperature, food, mineral supplementation was identical for the three treatments. Measurements were performed daily temperatures with a non-contact infrared thermometer on the forehead, neck, internal and external of the wool, the perineum, the rectal temperature was obtained with the mercury thermometer. Measurements were performed at three times of the day: 7h, 14h, and 17h, for forty days. Ambient temperature and relative humidity were recorded using a thermohygrometer. There was significant difference in mean rectal temperature of animals shorn in the NS group at the time 7am, in the mean external temperatures of the wool was no significant difference between group TS and the other at the time 7 am, and between the three groups in time 14h, the mean temperatures measured on the forehead was significantly different in the NS group compared to the other, at times 7h, 14h and 17h, shorn animals, and animals with wool in the TS group differed significantly from the other two at the time 7am and the NS group was significantly different from other moments in 14h and 17h, in the neck region, average temperatures were significantly different between the three groups, at times 7am and 14pm.
