Orientador: Rosane de Andrade Berlinck / Banca: Rosane de Andrade Berlinck / Banca: Sonia Maria Lazzarini Cyrino / Banca: Izete Lehmkuhl Coelho / Banca: Flávia Bezerra de Menezes Hirata-Vale / Banca: Beatriz Nunes de Oliveira Longo / Resumo: Amparado pelos pressupostos teórico-metodológicos da Sociolinguística Variacionista (WEINREICH, LABOV & HERZOG, 1968; LABOV, 1972, 1994, 2001), este estudo descritivo-analítico-comparativo, desenvolvido numa perspectiva sincrônica, se propõe a investigar as estratégias de realização do objeto direto anafórico (e, sobretudo, o estatuto do objeto nulo) nas variedades brasileira e europeia do português (respectivamente, PB e PE) e nas variedades argentina e europeia do espanhol (respectivamente, EA e EE). Objetiva-se, assim, verificar em que grau o PB e o PE, bem como o EA e o EE se distanciam em relação a esse fenômeno e se esse distanciamento, caso haja, reflete apenas em uma distinção quantitativa entre as variedades, e se seu reflexo pode ser observado em uma análise qualitativa. Assumiu-se, para tanto, a hipótese de que as distinções entre as variedades de uma mesma língua, assim como entre as duas línguas "irmãs", são observadas, sobretudo, em uma análise quantitativa e que em uma análise qualitativa, muito provavelmente, essas diferenças não se acentuarão. No intuito de testar essa hipótese, os corpora desta investigação foram organizados a partir de entrevistas veiculadas em programas de auditório, transmitidos por canal aberto de emissoras de televisão de circulação nacional nos países usuários das variedades linguísticas acima referidas, uma vez que o trabalho com esse tipo de programa permite-nos, de um lado, verificar, seguindo os passos de Duarte (1989, p. 20), o uso linguístico em uma modalidade de fala que atinge os países de ponta a ponta, exercendo sobre a comunidade linguística, simultaneamente, uma força inovadora e normalizadora, e, de outro, a observação de dados que tenham sido obtidos em uma mesma época e com os informantes submetidos a situações de uso da língua semelhantes. Organizados os corpora a partir de um período aproximado 05 (cinco) horas de gravação para cada ... / Abstract: This descriptive-analytical-comparative study is supported by the theoretical and methodological assumptions of Variationist Sociolinguistics (WEINREICH, LABOV & HERZOG, 1968; LABOV, 1972, 1994, 2001) and was developed in a synchronic perspective. The study proposes to investigate the use strategies of the anaphoric direct object (and especially the status of the null object) in Brazilian and European varieties of the Portuguese Language (PB and PE, respectively) and in Argentinian and European varieties of the Spanish Language (EA and EE, respectively). The purpose is thus to ascertain to what degree PB and PE (as well as EA and EE) distance themselves from this phenomenon, to discover if the distancing inflicts only in a quantitative distinction between the varieties, and if the causes may be observed in a qualitative analysis. For this, we have assumed the hypothesis that the distinctions between varieties of the same language (as well as between the two "sister" languages) are particularly found in a quantitative analysis; however, in a qualitative analysis these differences are most likely not as noticeable. In order to test this hypothesis, the corpora of this research were organized from aired interviews of live audience shows, broadcast by national air television channels in countries were these languages are spoken. Working with this type of shows enables us to witness the language use in a form of speech that is common to the whole countries, which simultaneously exerts an innovative and normalizing force on the linguistic community, according to the work of Duarte (1989, p. 20), as on the other hand, we perceive data from a certain period and from speakers undergo similar language use situations.
