Considerados antagônicos por muitos pesquisadores, o presente estudo analisa como a esfera política se manifesta em alguns eventos desenvolvidos no interior desses segmentos, bem como, a compreensão por membros do clero e também dos fieis sobre o tema. A contribuição de Victor Turner sobre os rituais permite observar como em momentos diferenciados da vida religiosa alguns aspectos do cotidiano se apresentam - a política em especial. A abordagem da prática de Sherry Ortner também é parte do referencial teórico-metodológico deste trabalho, ao fazer a mediação entre agência e estrutura nos atores pesquisados. Com esse objetivo, são destacados os seguintes eventos: a romaria da terra, a missa afro, a celebração Zumbi dos Palmares e dois grupos de oração da Renovação Carismática: o Anjos da Paz e o Caminhando com Maria. Dentre as dezenas de paróquias que compõem a Arquidiocese de Londrina, o trabalho de campo foi realizado principalmente na paróquia Nossa Senhora dos Migrantes, que possui atividades sob o viés desses dois segmentos católicos. A pesquisa também analisa a presença da religião na Câmara Municipal de Londrina ao destacar dois vereadores: Douglas Carvalho Pereira (PTB), carismático, e Lenir de Assis (PT)... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This work analyzes the relationship between religion and politics in the Archdiocese of Londrina - PR, especially in two sectors of Catholicism that have received significant visibility in recent decades: Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) and Liberation Theology. Considered as antagonistic by many researchers, the present study analyzes how the political sphere manifests itself in some events developed within these segments, as well as, the understanding by members of the clergy and also of the faithful on the subject. Victor Turner's contribution to the rituals allows us to observe how in different moments of the religious life some aspects of daily life present themselves - politics in particular. Sherry Ortner's approach to practice is also part of the theoreticalmethodological framework of this paper, when mediating between agency and structure in the actors surveyed. To this end, the following events are highlighted: the earthly pilgrimage, the Afro Mass, the Zumbi of Palmares celebration and two prayer groups of the Charismatic Renewal: the Angels of Peace and the Walking with Mary. Among the dozens of parishes that comprise the Archdiocese of Londrina, the fieldwork was carried out mainly in the parish of Nossa Senhora dos Migrantes, which has activities under the bias of these two Catholic segments. The research also analyzes the presence of religion in the City Hall of Londrina by highlighting two city councilors: Douglas Carvalho Pereira (PTB), charismatic, and Lenir de Assis (PT), aligned with Liberation Theology. In this way, it is possible to perceive how religious adherence allows different positions in this important political space of the city.
