Os conectivos fazem parte da competência textual/discursiva que o falante da Língua Portuguesa deve possuir. Aprender a utilizar esses mecanismos de coesão é imprescindível, pois esses conectores dão ao texto maior legibilidade, explicitando os tipos de relações estabelecidos entre os elementos linguísticos que permitem a progressão das ideias de forma clara. Resultados apresentados em provas externas (Saresp, Prova Brasil, Avaliações da Aprendizagem em Processo) e produções escritas internas (realizadas em sala de aula) pelos alunos de uma escola pública estadual de São Paulo, em relação ao uso dos conectivos, mostram que os discentes não conseguem compreender o papel importante desses elementos linguísticos na sucessão do encadeamento do fluxo informacional no texto e nos sentidos por eles produzidos. Nesse contexto, o presente trabalho tem como objetivos: (a) analisar livros didáticos (Ensino Fundamental II) e compreender como é proposto o trabalho com os elementos de coesão, mais especificamente, as conjunções, e (b) desenvolver uma sequência didática que contribua para a compreensão das conjunções como elementos importantes para uma comunicação eficiente e um texto mais claro, que cumpre melhor o papel de interação entre o aluno e o meio em que está inserido (contexto social). Acredita-se que esse trabalho possa auxiliar os estudantes a utilizarem os elementos de coesão, mais especificamente as conjunções, de forma proficiente, o que os levará a desenvolver a habilidade escrita. The connectives are part of the textual / discursive competence that the speaker of the Portuguese Language should possess. Learning to use these mechanisms of cohesion is essential, as these connectors give the text greater readability, explaining the types of relationships established between the linguistic elements that allow the progression of ideas clearly. Results presented in external tests (Saresp, Prova Brasil, Evaluations of Process Learning) and written internal productions (carried out in the classroom) by the students of a state public school in São Paulo, regarding the use of connectives, show that the students they fail to understand the important role of these linguistic elements in the succession of the chain of information flow in the text and in the meanings they produce. In this context, the present work aims to: (a) analyze didactic books (Elementary School II) and understand how it is proposed to work with the elements of cohesion, specifically the conjunctions, and (b) develop a didactic sequence that contributes for the understanding of conjunctions as important elements for efficient communication and a clearer text, which better fulfills the interaction role between the student and the environment in which he / she is inserted (social context).
