Orientador: Maria Rosa Rodrigues Martins de Camargo / Resumo: A pesquisa que aqui apresentamos tem como campo empírico de estudo a educação de jovens e adultos –EJA e projeta o foco para as mulheres que ali se encontram. Duas questões são centrais neste estudo: levantar e trazer à luz elementos que indiciam a condição da mulher, pensada por quem se encontra naquele lugar (sala de aula, na EJA), particularizando a condição da mulher pensada e dita por ela mesma; e assumir a narrativa de vida, particularizando a narrativa escrita e os relatos orais, como base material no registro de vida, e, nela, a possibilidade de (re-)invenção de si. O estudo foi realizado em uma escola pública do município de Rio Claro-SP, entre abril e outubro de 2018. A turma de EJA em que o estudo foi desenvolvido corresponde ao 5° ano do ensino fundamental II, do período noturno. Portanto o debate, no que concerne às políticas públicas para a EJA serem elaboradas com outras políticas de correção das desigualdades sociais, torna-se imprescindível, já que estamos tratando da realidade de pessoas brasileiras (RINALDI; PEREIRA, 2015). Esta pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa, tendo como proposta metodológica a pesquisa narrativa (CONNELY; CLANDININ, 1995) e a pesquisa autobiográfica (DELORY-MOMBERGER, 2011), pelas quais é possível focar as experiências humanas, bem como contar suas histórias, registrar e escrever relatos de experiência; entende-se o ato de narrar, escrito ou oral, como potência para o pensamento da própria condição. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The present empirical research focuses on women participating in youth and adult education (YAE) projects. Two central issues were addressed: raise and bring to light elements that depict the women’s condition thought by those who are in that place (YAE classroom), particularizing the condition of the women, thought and expressed by themselves, and taking over the life narrative, particularizing the written narrative and taking the accounts as the material basis for the life record and the possibility of (re)inventing oneself. The study was conducted in a public school in the municipality of Rio Claro-SP, between April and October/2018 and the YAE evening group enrolled in this study corresponded to the 5th grade of Fundamental. Therefore, public policies regarding YAE must be elaborated in conjunction with social equality policies, once we are dealing with the Brazilian people reality (RINALDI; PEREIRA, 2015). This is a qualitative and narrative research (CONNELY; CLANDININ, 1995) with autobiographical approach (DELORY-MOMBERGER, 2011), focusing on human experiences and accounts, which were all registered, once the narrative, either written or spoken, instigates thoughts about one’s own condition. To foment reflections on the women’s condition, this study analyzes the History of Brazilian Women in the 19th century and discusses the contribution of the Cultural History to understand the complexity of women’s representations, which survive through generations.
