<p>Det övergripande syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva och förstå den viljeinriktning som präglar en privat daglig verksamhet för personer med utvecklingsstörning utifrån olika utsa-gor från handledare och deltagare. Vi har i vår studie utgått från två olika sätt att tänka angå-ende stödet till personer med utvecklingsstörning. Vi anger dessa skilda viljeinriktningar som det linjära och det cirkulära tänkandet. Resultatet analyseras utifrån Bradleys modell i svensk översättning av Jönsson (1995) Misa AB. Sex respondenter intervjuades, tre handledare och tre deltagare, varav två män och fyra kvinnor. Frågorna som ställdes var av öppen karaktär och indelade i för deltagarna fyra frågeområden och för handledarna sex frågeområden. Re-sultatet redovisades i tre avsnitt, verksamheten, delaktigheten och framtiden. Beträffande verksamheten visar resultatet att såväl deltagare som handledare befinner sig i en verksam-het som de känner mer tillfredsställelse med jämfört med de verksamheter som de befunnit sig i tidigare. När det gäller delaktigheten har den privata verksamheten närmat sig WHO:s internationella klassifikationssystem (ICF), där utgångspunkten är hälsa och fokus sätts på vad personen har för förmågor och vad denne kan klara av. I avsnittet som handlar om fram-tiden ser vi att en av deltagarna har en strävan att komma ut på den reguljära arbetsmarkna-den längre fram i livet. En av deltagarna är nöjd med sitt arbete på den privata dagliga verk-samheten medan den tredje tror att hon kommer att bli kvar i den privata dagliga verksamhe-ten men hennes dröm är att få möjlighet att turnera med teateruppsättningar i landet. Hand-ledarna vill på sikt expandera och på så sätt kunna erbjuda deltagarna att välja ett specifikt område att arbeta med, exempelvis dans, sömnad eller teater. De tror och hoppas även att en del av deltagarna ska gå vidare till, i första hand en individuell plats, men de ser även att vissa deltagare har potential att få ett arbete på den reguljära arbetsmarknaden. Slutsatsen är att den privata verksamheten ligger i ett slags temporärt mellanläge mellan de två viljein-riktningarna, linjärt och cirkulärt tänkande.</p> / <p>The overall purpose of this paper is to describe and understand the fundamental approach that characterizes a private daily center for persons with intellectual disability. We call these different directions of will the linear and the circular way of thinking. The result was analyzed using the Bradley model translated into Swedish by Jönsson (1995) Misa AB. Six respon-dents were interviewed, three supervisors and three participants (two men and four women). The questions asked were of an open character and divided into four areas for the partici-pants and six areas for the supervisors. The result is presented in three sections: the activity, the participation and the future. Concerning the activity, the result shows that both the par-ticipants and the supervisors are in an activity that they find more satisfying in comparison to the activities that they were in prior to the current activity. Regarding the participation, the studied private daily center has approach the WHO International Classification System (ICF), where the starting point is health and focus is set on the abilities of the person and what he or she can do (rather than the disability). In the section about the future, we see that one of the participants has an aspiration to get out on the regular employment market later on in life. One of the participants is content with her work at the private daily center, while the third par-ticipant believes that she will stay in the private daily center but her dream is to get the op-portunity to tour the country with theatre productions. The supervisors want to expand the center, and in the future be able to offer the participants to choose specific area of interest (to work with), for example dancing, sewing or acting. They also believe and hope that some of the participants will continue to primarily an individual workplace, but they also think that some of the participants have the potential to get an employment on the regular employment market. The conclusion is that the private daily center temporarily is in between the two to fundamental approaches, the linear and the circular thinking.</p>
