Stora delar av dagens arbetsmarknad utgörs av funktionellt flexibla arbeten, där arbetstagaren själv styr, kontrollerar och ansvarar för sitt arbete i två aspekter; arbetstid- och rum, samt arbetsutförande. Studien syftar till att få ökad förståelse av hur individer upplever och förhåller sig till denna typ av flexibilitet. För att besvara de inneboende frågorna i studiens syfte genomfördes en kvalitativ studie baserad på intervjuer med åtta fastighetsmäklare. Det empiriska materialet analyserades sedan med hjälp av meningskoncentrering- och kategorisering. Resultaten visar att samtliga informanter uppfattar möjligheten att utnyttja flexibilitetens fördelar som positivt. Hur de sedan upplever och förhåller sig till det skiljer sig ibland från denna uppfattning beroende på arbetsförhållanden, personliga egenskaper samt individuella preferenser och livsbalans. Nyckelord: fastighetsmäklare, flexibelt arbete, kontroll, gränsdragning och livsform. / Much of today's labour market consists of functional flexible jobs, where the workers themselves reign, control and answer for their work in two aspects: work time- and place, and job execution. The study aims to gain greater understanding of how individuals perceive and relate to this type of flexibility. In order to answer the questions within the purpose of the study was a qualitative study made based on interviews with eight real estate agents. The empirical data were analyzed with the help of concentration- and categorization of sentences. The results show that all respondents consider the possibility of using benefits of flexibility as positive. However, how they perceive and relate to their work can sometimes differ depending on work conditions, personal characteristics and individual preferences and life balance.
