Sammanfattning När informationssamhället avlöste det gamla industrisamhället krävdes en ny sorts grundskoleutbildning i Sverige. En målstyrd läroplan (Lpo94) utarbetades och infördes med start läsåret 1995/1996. Elevernas demokratiska fostran är en av de centrala frågorna i Lpo94. Lpo 94 säger att undervisningen ska bedrivas i demokratiska arbetsformer och förbereda eleverna för att aktivt deltaga i samhällslivet. Skolan ska alltså fostra demokratiska medborgare som känner till och kan engagera sig i hur samhället är uppbyggt och hur det styrs. Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att titta på hur intentionerna i Lpo 94 uppfylls vad gäller det formella elevinflytandet på svenska grundskolor? Den här uppsatsen undersöker det formella elevinflytandet på tre svenska grundskolor. Dels har skolornas dokumentering kring detta undersökts och dels har det genomförts en enkätundersökning bland eleverna. Det har visat sig att skolornas dokumentering kring detta är bristfällig. Intentionerna i Lpo94 speglas inte helt i dessa dokument och dessa intentioner förs inte alls över till eleverna. Många elever är omedvetna om vad målet med formellt elevinflytande är och vissa elever känner inte ens till att det finns ett formellt elevinflytande. Skolornas utbildning i demokrati behöver således bli bättre och tydligare. / Abstract As the information society replaced the old industrial society, a new ground education was needed in Sweden. A target-based national curriculum (Lpo94) was prepared and implemented starting the school year 1995/1996. Lpo 94 states that the education should be practised in democratic forms and prepare the pupils for an active participation in the society. By means the school should form democratic citizens who are aware of, and can involve in how the society is structured and managed. The purpose of this essay has been to have a closer look at how the intentions of Lpo94 have been complied as in regards of the formal student influence in Swedish schools. This essay investigates the formal student influence in three Swedish schools. It looks into the schools documentation in this matter, as well as performed a poll among the pupils. As it turns out the schools documentation in this matter is absent. The Lpo94 intentions do not show in these documents, and the intentions are not passed on to the students. Several students are unaware of the target with a formal student influence and many students are unaware of the fact that there exists such. The schools education in democracy needs to be better and clearer.
