Denna studie handlar om hur litteraturen kan användas för att inom skolan arbeta med förståelse för andra människors livsvillkor och erfarenheter, samt utveckling av den egna självinsikten, som är pelare i skolans värdegrund. I just denna undersökning ligger fokus på vilken didaktisk potential den självbiografiska genren har i det arbetet. Undersökningen kommer ske genom att en analys kommer göras på boken Allt jag fått lära mig av Tara Westover. Analysen kommer sedan diskuteras i förhållande till delar från skolans styrdokument. De styrdokument jag har valt att fokusera på i denna undersökning är “Läroplanen för gymnasieskolan” och “Ämnesplanen för ämnet svenska”. Undersökningen utgår från utvalda nyckelscener i boken som sedan kopplas samman med styrdokumentens innehåll i diskussionsdelen. / This study is about how literature can be used in the school to work with an understanding of other people's living conditions and experiences, as well as the development of their own self-insight, which are pillars of the school's value foundation. In this particular study, the focus is on what didactic potential is precisely the autobiographical genre in that work. The investigation will be done by doing an analysis on the book Educated of Tara Westover. The analysis will then be discussed in relation to parts of the school's governing documents. The steering documents I have chosen to focus on in this study are “The curriculum for the upper secondary school” and “The subject plan for the subject Swedish”. The study is based on selected key scenes in the book which are then linked to the contents of the control documents in the discussion sections.
