Konstnärlig ljuddesign för elbas på scenen : Filtrerat genom japansk 80- och 90-talsfusion samt egna kompositioner.

This thesis discusses using creative sound design to regain control over the electric bassist’s personal sound in the live environment and not leave it to the sound engineer to decide how you sound.   Using digital tools in contrast with the traditional method of solid-state or tube amplifiers, the desired result of total control over your sound in a live environment was achieved. The sounds that had been created digitally were used in a live performance that was also recorded as part of a graduation concert. These digital sounds were layered with different effects, which opened a new artistic door of expression for the electric bass by creating new and exciting sounds.  Japanese jazz fusion music from the '80s and '90s was used as the creative platform, both classic songs and the author's own work composed in the same aesthetical style where the digitally created sounds and creative sound design were an integral part of the compositional process.
