Norrtälje är beläget cirka sex mil norr om Stockholm och har goda kommunikationer till huvudstaden vilket har medfört att ett stort antal personer dagpendlar mellan arbetet i Stockholm och bostaden i Norrtälje. Detta har medfört att staden expanderar kraftigt och i Norrtälje hamn planeras det för ca 1500 bostäder. På uppdrag av Norrtälje kommun har det i samarbete med Sveriges Arkitekter upprättats en projekttävling för hur hamnområdet kan utformas med hjälp av ledorden ”Barn, Båtar, Bad”. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att genomföra analyser av stadsdelen och presentera ett förslag som kan berika området kulturellt, socialt, ekonomiskt och ekologiskt. Analyserna av områdets förväntade användning, grönområden, trafik, områdets axlar och den medborgardialog som har genomförts ligger till grund för de förslag som har tagits fram för hamnområdet. Resultatet innefattar två byggnader som innehåller verksamheter i form av restaurang, café, hörsal, utställning, saluhall samt det kringliggande pirområdet. Examensarbetet har resulterat i A3-broschyren ”Förslagshandlingar för pirhusen i Norrtälje hamn” som innehåller förslagshandingar över området. Omsorgsfullt utvalda verksamheter i kombination med modern arkitektur som inspireras av den omgivande miljön skapar ett hållbart koncept för användningen av piren i Norrtälje hamn. / Norrtälje is located about 60 km north of Stockholm with good accessibility to the capital. A lot of people daily commute between their work in Stockholm and their household in Norrtälje, which has led to a great groth for the city. In the harbor of Norrtälje the municipality is planning to build around 1500 households, which means that this area is the main activity in the expanding phase of Norrtälje. On the behalf of the municipality of Norrtälje and the Swedish Association of Architects an architectural competition has been created to design the harbor area with the keywords children, boats and bathing. The aim of this degree project is to analyze the area and to present a concept that enriches the area socially, culturally, economically and environmentally. The analyzes of the future usage in the area, green spaces, traffic, the main axis of the area and the civil dialogue that has been made is the foundation for the concept of the harbor area. The concept includes two facilities that contain restaurant, café, auditorium, exhibition, market for local producers and a suggestion for the surrounding area. The degree projects result is in the A3 brochure “Concept drawings for the pier houses in Norrtälje harbor. Carefully choosen activities in combination with modern architecture inspired of the surrounding environment creates a sustainable concept for usage of the pier in Norrtälje harbor.
