Alkoholberoende är den vanligaste formen av beroende- och missbruksproblem i Sverige. Det finns ett stort utbud av behandlingsmetoder och modeller som tjänar till att hjälpa och stötta alkoholberoende mot tillfrisknande. Dock saknas det ett lättillgängligt stöd via mobil teknik. Denna studie tjänar därför till att undersöka behovet av och möjligheter till ett mobilt stöd för alkoholberoende. Baserat på behovet som identifieras tjänar studien till att utveckla en mobil applikation som möter behovet. Projektet är ett designfall och arbetets designprocess har baserats på en målinriktad designmetod. Detta har inneburit att personor utvecklats som främsta verktyg för designutvecklingen. Dessa har skapats utifrån projektets datainsamling som utgjorts av intervjuer med personer som genomgår någon form av behandling för alkoholberoende. Personerna som intervjuades tillhörde även den tilltänkta målgruppen för arbetet. Resultatet av datainsamlingen visade att den mest uppskattade och effektiva behandlingsmetoden för alkoholberoende, enligt dem själva, är gruppbehandling. Baserat på detta resultat finns det ett tänkbart behov av att utveckla en mobil tjänst som bygger på att skapa ett likande stöd som det som ges vid gruppbehandling. Detta skulle kunna uppnås genom en mobil tjänst som erbjuder användaren stöd till att hantera sitt alkoholberoende genom kommunikation med andra användare. Datainsamlingen visade även att det stöd som skapas genom gruppbehandling bidrar till att förändra beteenden och tankemönster hos deltagarna. För att skapa ett mobilt stöd som bygger på gruppbehandlingens beteendeförändrande effekter skulle designprinciper för beteendeförändrande stödsystem kunna tillämpas. Designprocessens steg och utveckling samt utvärdering av prototyp genererade en slutgiltig produkt och design för en mobil applikation som möter, det för arbetet, identifierade behovet. / Alcohol dependence is the most common form of addiction and substance abuse in Sweden. There is a wide range of treatment methods and models that serve to aid and assist against alcohol addiction recovery. However, lacking a readily accessible support through mobile technology. Therefore this study serves to examine the need for and possibilities of a mobile support for people with a alcohol dependence. Based on the needs identified in the study the project also aims to develop a mobile application that meets the need. The project is a design case and the design process for the work is based on a goal-oriented design method. This means that personas have evolved as the primary tool for design development. These personas have been created from the project’s data collection, which consisted of interviews with people who were undergoing some kind of treatment for alcohol dependence. The people interviewed also belonged to the intended target group for the work. The results of the data collection showed that the most valued and effective treatment method for alcohol dependence, according to the interviewed, is group therapy. Based on this result, there is a potential need to develop a mobile service that is based on creating a similar support to that offered by group therapy. This could be achieved through a mobile service that provides user support to manage their alcohol dependence through communication with other users. The collection of data also showed that the support, which is created through group therapy, helps to change behavior and thought patterns of the participants. To create a mobile support that is based on group therapy behavior-altering effects, design principles for behavioral modification scheme can be applied. The steps in the design process and development and evaluation of a prototype generated a final product and design for a mobile application that face the need the study identified.
