Distansarbete : - ansvar och effekter med OSA perspektiv i ljuset av COVID-19 / Teleworking : - responsibilities and effects with an organizational and social work environment perspective in the light of COVID-19

This essay processes the responsibility for the psychosocial environment at work, including both organizational and social aspects, during teleworking. As an effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, a large-scale part of the labour market switched to solely teleworking. There are, as with most things, both advantages and disadvantages of teleworking and the dissertation focuses on the organizational and social work environment aspects in companies that conduct office work of various kinds. The essay examines EU law and other relevant international sources together with the Swedish sources of law. To put the law to a societal perspective, to be able to analyse the consequences of the application of the law, literature and assured research in the field are studied. A qualitative study is included to examine women's experience of teleworking based on organizational and social factors with a gender perspective.The essay concludes that the legal responsibility for the working environment, regardless of where the work accomplishes, lies with the employer. The employee's responsibility is limited to actively participating in the undertaking with the working environment. A need for a distinct description and information about the employee's participation can facilitate cooperation regarding the work environment during teleworking. The advantages that emerge in the qualitative study are the difficulties with telework are the demarcation between work and private life. Also, the lack of physical meetings during telework, despite today's information technology tools. The respondents are affirmative about teleworking to a greater extent in the future, but not under duress or full time.
