Jag har gjort en bok som handlar om fem vanliga småkryp samt några av deras närmaste släktingar (fluga och mygga, spindel, geting, bi och humla, myra samt silverfisk). Boken kan klassas som en populärvetenskaplig bilderbok med faktainnehåll. Då en antropocentrisk syn på djur, i detta fall småkryp, är vanlig i skolans värld vill jag försöka skapa diskussion kring småkrypens egenvärde, istället för att endast se vilken nytta vi människor kan ha av dem. När jag efter många om och men valt vilka småkryp som boken skulle handla om plockade jag ut ett antal fakta om dem, och varvade då den mest basala faktan med lite mer udda information som kanske inte återfinns i varje uppslagsverk. Efter att ha skissat upp mina bilder på vita A4-papper skannade jag in dem i datorn och bearbetade dem i ett bildbehandlingsprogram. / I have made a book about five common bugs, and some of their closest relatives (fly and mosquito, spider, wasp, bee and bumblebee, ant and silverfish). The book can be classified as a popular scientistic picture book with a fact content. As an anthropocentric view on animals, in this case bugs, is common in the world of school, I would like to create a discussion about the bugs own value, instead of seeing what use they can be of to man. When I finally had chosen which bugs the book was to be about I picked out a number of facts about them, and mixed the basal facts with some more rare information that you might not find in the usual encyclopedia. After having sketched my drawings on white A4-papers I scanned them into the computer and worked on them in a picture editing program.
