[pt] O presente trabalho faz uma análise sobre os filmes produzidos pelo Cineclube Caravelas, localizado no município de Caravelas, sul da Bahia. Pretendemos, por meio desta análise, propor uma reflexão sobre a apropriação dos meios audiovisuais de produção por grupos comunitários de comunicação. Por este caminho, investigamos as dinâmicas históricas do município de Caravelas, a fim de entendermos o contexto político, social e cultural de surgimento do Cineclube Caravelas. No rastro dessa discussão, buscamos uma releitura dos espaços de legitimação e representação sociais num âmbito comunitário, possibilitados pela produção e veiculação de filmes por grupos à margem dos grandes centros de produção audiovisual. / [en] This paper analyses the movie production of the Caravelas Cine Club, situated in the city of Caravelas, in the south of Bahia. Through this analysis we intend to propose a reflection on the appropriation of audiovisual production media by communication community groups. By doing so, we investigated the historic dynamic of Caravelas so as to understand the political, social and cultural context of the establishment of the Caravelas Cine Club. Following this debate, we sought a re-interpretation of the legitimating and social representation spaces in a community environment, made possible by the production and broadcasting of movies by groups acting on the margins of the big centers of audiovisual production.
