[pt] Esta tese tem como objetivo consignar o Design Afirmativo como agente difusor de ações reparativas em prol da ressignificação do que é ser negro em um contexto afrodiaspórico. Enuncia a força de um design construído na luta, resultado da sabedoria dos movimentos negros baseados em um cosmosentido afro-brasileiro, africano e da diáspora negra. É nesse campo de design mais ação afirmativa que o Design Afirmativo atua, criando as condições sensíveis para a valorização de grupos marginalizados, potencializando e divulgando seus conhecimentos no intuído de criar uma equidade social. O recorte da pesquisa está na imbricação entre o design e a animação e sua forma de transmitir mensagens, em que a idealização, a construção e o propósito dessas significações são circunstanciadas a partir do seu contexto artístico, cultural, social e econômico. Destaca-se o entendimento da área da animação, uma prática projetiva tal qual o design, responsável pela interação social. Para realizar a pesquisa, foi necessário entender o crescimento da produção e da representação imagética das personagens nacionais, segundo sua raça e etnicidade. A pesquisa desenvolveu-se na análise da programação dos cinco principais canais infantis da TV por assinatura, a partir das listagens de obras brasileiras veiculadas na TV paga, disponibilizada pelo OCA - Observatório Brasileiro do Cinema e do Audiovisual – da Ancine, no período de 2016 e 2017. Além disso, na busca da produção atravessada pela multiculturalidade, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com animadores negros e negras, partindo do ponto das reflexões oriundas dos debates estabelecidos pelo cinema de live action negro, que constituiu um entendimento do que seria uma animação denominada negra. Ao ampliarmos a percepção sobre o assunto, foi captado o discernimento da audiência sobre as animações a que crianças assistiram, por meio de formulários on-line com pais e professores, que permitiram levantar dados sobre personagens e narrativas. O paradigma epistemológico que orientou a pesquisa determinou para o design o valor epistêmico intrínseco dos movimentos sociais negros e reconheceu que eles são produtores de um tipo específico de sapiência, o conhecimento nascido na luta. Esse saber novo, gerado por grupos não hegemônicos e contra-hegemônico criam novas temáticas, conceitos e dinamizam o conhecimento. Assim, depreendeu-se desse estudo que o Design Afirmativo é um design crítico e de resistência, com uma agenda política de transformação voltada sobremaneira para a construção identitária que reconhece o indivíduo como tal e o coloca no mundo em condição de igualdade, que considera sua autoimagem, seus valores e fortalece sua corporeidade e pensamento em oposição aos efeitos da discriminação. / [en] This thesis aims to register Affirmative Design as a spreader of reparative actions in favor of the resignification of what it is to be black in an Afrodiasporic context. It enunciates the strength of a design built in the struggle, the result of the wisdom of black movements based on an Afro-Brazilian, African and black diaspora worldview. It is in this field of design plus affirmative action that Affirmative Design acts, creating sensitive conditions for the valuation of marginalized groups, enhancing and disseminating their knowledge in the sense of social equity. The research focuses on the intertwining between design and animation and its way of transmitting messages, in which the idealization, construction and purpose of these meanings are conditioned by their artistic, cultural, social and economic context. We highlight the understanding of animation as a projective practice, such as design, responsible for social interaction. In order to carry out the research, it was necessary to understand the growth of production and the imagery representation of national characters, according to their race and ethnicity. The research was developed by analyzing the programming of the five main children s pay tv channels, based on the listings of Brazilian works broadcast on pay tv available by OCA - Brazilian Observatory of Cinema and Audiovisual - of Ancine, between 2016 and 2017. In addition, in the search for productions with multicultural characteristics, semi-structured interviews were conducted with black animators, starting from the reflections derived from the debates established by the black live action cinema, which constituted an understanding of what would be an animation called black. Expanding the perception on the subject, the audience s discernment about the animations watched by children was captured, through online forms with parents and teachers, which allowed us to collect data about characters and narratives. The epistemological paradigm that guided the research determined for design the intrinsic epistemic value of black social movements and recognized that they are producers of a specific type of wisdom, the knowledge born in the struggle. This new knowledge, generated by non-hegemonic and counter-hegemonic groups,
creates new themes, concepts and boosts knowledge. Thus, it was learned from this study that Affirmative Design is a critical and resistance design with a political agenda of transformation focused particularly at the identity construction that recognizes the individual as such and places him in the world in a condition of equality, considering his self-image, his values and strengthening his corporeality and thinking in opposition to the effects of discrimination.
