Au cœur des nouveaux paradigmes de l’enseignement supérieur à savoir : le LMD, la mondialisation, la qualité, l’économie du savoir et le capital humain s’inscrit cette thèse intitulée : « la démarche qualité dans les établissements privés d’enseignement supérieur au Bénin : De l’état des lieux à l’ère du LMD». Après une étude exploratoire du système d’enseignement supérieur béninois, elle a fait l’état des lieux des pratiques d’assurance qualité interne des EPES à travers le déploiement du LMD sur deux de ces axes complémentaires : l’amélioration de l’offre de formation et l’intégration d’une démarche qualité. Il est à noter une faiblesse de l’efficacité des offres de formations tant dans le public que dans le privé et une facilité d’innovation puis d’adaptation aux contingences au niveau des EPES détenteurs d’une politique qualité. Des initiatives d’assurance qualité interne existent surtout au niveau du secteur privé qui connait une forte concurrence et une exigence de plus en plus accrue des étudiants. Aussi existe-t-il de bonnes pratiques en matière d’assurance qualité dans la sous région et le soutien des partenaires financiers et techniques pour l’harmonisation des pratiques et l’incitation des différents pays à la mise en place des agences nationales d’assurance qualité à travers le renforcement des compétences. La présente recherche implémente partiellement une politique d’assurance qualité interne s’inspirant du modèle d’évaluation de la qualité dans l’enseignement au sens de Plante et Bouchard, de l’ISO 9001 V2008 et du principe de Deming vu que la durée moyenne d’un tel exercice s’avère relativement longue. / Within the new paradigms of the higher education namely: the LMD (LICENCE-MASTER-DOCTORAT), the globalization, the quality, the economy of knowledge and the human resources is this thesis titled: " After an exploratory study of the higher education system in the Republic of Benin, the inventory of the current situation was done through the deployment of the LMD (LICENCE-MASTER-DOCTORAT) on two of these complementary axis: the improvement of the offer of training and the integration of a quality approach.Let’s mention that there is a weakness in the efficiency of the offers of training in the public as well as in the private sector. Moreover, the EPES that have adopted quality policy can easily innovate and adapt themselves to any contingencies. Initiatives of internal quality assurance exist, especially in the private sector where there is a high competition and more increasing requirements from the students. There are also good practices in West African sub-region as far as quality assurance is concerned and the support of the financial and technical partners with the view to harmonizing the practices and to motivating various countries for the implementation of their national quality assurance agencies through the strengthening of skills can be mentioned.The present research implements partially the internal quality assurance policy, being inspired by the model of evaluation of the quality in the education in line with the one of Plant and Bouchard, by the ISO 9001 V2008 and by the principle of Deming, knowing that the average duration of such an exercise turns out relatively long.
