O presente trabalho realiza uma aproximação entre as teorias semiótica discursiva e antropologia do imaginário, cujas formulações ocorreram em torno, respectivamente, de Algirdas Julien Greimas e Gilbert Durand, e servem de sustentação ao trabalho de análise de discursos os mais diversos: literários, folclóricos, publicitários e jurídicos, entre outros. Para alcançar tal objetivo, adotou-se o seguinte procedimento: abordar os principais conceitos relativos às duas teorias, discutindo suas implicações e a perspectiva de convergência entre eles. Essa escolha motivou a pesquisa a se direcionar em vista dos seguintes objetivos: redimensionar as polêmicas entre Greimas e Durand em torno das premissas epistemológicas que deram origem às suas propostas teóricas, focalizando a pertinência de cada uma delas; analisar as possíveis convergências entre os conceitos dos dois conjuntos; e verificar as possibilidades de integração, adaptação e incorporação entre eles. Diante dos resultados obtidos, pôde-se concluir que as divergências apontadas de ambos os lados constituíram-se a partir de considerações superficiais, resultando muito mais da defesa veemente que cada autor fazia de suas idéias do que propriamente da incoerência ou incompatibilidade entre elas; quanto à análise das convergências possíveis entre os conceitos e seus desdobramentos, verificou-se a pertinência da proposta responsável pelo desenvolvimento do trabalho, sobretudo em relação a conceitos fundamentais das teorias, a saber: pela semiótica discursiva, semi-símbolo, isotopias figurativas, instância de enunciação, modos de existência e modalidades e junção, e, pela antropologia do imaginário, símbolo, regimes de imagens, trajeto antropológico, estruturas e esquemas verbais. / This dissertation brings discursive semiotics and anthropology of the imaginary closer together, which includes their respective formulations that were developed around Algirdas Julien Greimas and Gilbert Durand. These theories are the support to the analysis of several discourses such as: literary, folkloric, advertising and legal among others. In order to accomplish the goals, major concepts of both theories have been approached, discussing their implications and convergence. This choice motivated the research to be directed into a re-dimensioning of polemics between Greimas and Duran concerning epistemological premises that originated both theories, aiming at their pertinence as well as the analysis of possible convergences between the concepts of both settings and the possibility to integrate, adapt and incorporate both of them. According to the results, it is possible to conclude that divergences of both sides have been built from superficial considerations, much more as a result of the defense both authors made of their ideas than from an incoherence or incompatibility between both of them. As for the analysis of possible convergences between concepts and their implications, the proposal to develop this dissertation has been proved pertinent, especially concerning fundamental concepts of theories such as: discursive semiotics, semi-symbol, figurative isotopy, enunciation, existence mode and modality and junction, as well as the anthropology of the imaginary, symbol, image regimen, anthropological route, structures and verbal schemes.
