Vafek, Petr January 2020 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with multitube cyclone changes leading to improve separating efficiency of solid particles. The thesis begins with theoretical part, in which the attributes and types of solid particle separators focusing on cyclones are presented. The practical part begins with separating efficiency and pressure drop calculation of the specific multitube cyclone. Subsequently the separating problem is explained and the changes leading to eliminating this problem are presented and evaluated. In the last and main part of thesis the design project including piping design and fan choice is created.

Výpočet průběhu chladicího média v asynchronním motoru / Calculation of the cooling medium in the asynchronous

Trnka, Zbyněk January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this master´s thesis was to model the fan for the induction motor, and then to solve this model using Ansys CFX in the terms of flow, when considering the different speeds of rotation of the rotor. The introduction of this work is dedicated to basic terms and definitions from spheres of fluid flow, cooling of the electrical machines, especially to the cooling of the asynchronous machine. There is also attention paid to losses in this machine. Finally, there is modeled radial fan and an air gap of specified induction machine. By using Ansys CFX the flow, which passes from the fan into the air gap, is analyzed.

Model proudění chladicího média v elektrickém stroji / Model the flow of coolant in electrical machine

Potyš, Jiří January 2012 (has links)
The thesis is focused on possibilities of asynchronous motors cooling with use of simulation at ANSYS Workbench program. It is divided into two parts. The first part deals with analyses of cooling medium circulation through ventilator and cooling medium circulation on the motor surface. As a result of the analyses is air speed distribution and air pressure representation. The second part of the thesis includes simulation of motor temperature rise both with cooling and without cooling at Ansys Workbench application together with temperature measurement of real asynchronous motor in the laboratory. For cooling purposes air circulation was used. The goal of my research is comparison of the computing results with the measured results.

Vývoj a regulace ventilačních turbín / Development and control of ventilating turbines

Ondra, Martin January 2015 (has links)
This master´s thesis will discuss the mechanical regulation of suction of ventilation turbines. There were designed and described three methods of mechanical regulation in this work. It is a regulation by half-valve, quarter-valve and so-called whirling turbine. Then the calculation of the auxiliary fan was included. The resulting mechanical regulation of this work permit, with high winds, restricting the flow of exhaust air without using electricity. Thanks to this there are saving overall cost of running ventilation turbines and reducing heat loss of industrial and commercial buildings.

Vliv nastaven ventilace na mnostv pivdÄn©ho vzduchu a jeho distribuci v kabinÄ automobilu / The effect of the ventilation settings on amount of fed air and its distribution in the car cabin

PolÄek, Filip January 2016 (has links)
This thesis deals with measuring of the distribution and volume of intake air inside vehicle cockpit under varying outdoor conditions and air conditioning settings. Fan characteristic was developed to determine the volume of air taken inside the cockpit. The measuring was made using speed probes in climatic chamber, where different outdoor conditions could be simulated. Following the measurements there is dependence between the air distribution and the outside temperature. The diploma thesis presents source materials to develop a mathematical model of car cabin.

Service Quality, Perceived Value, and Fan Engagement: Case of Shanghai Formula One Racing

Jones, Charles W., Byon, Kevin K., Hung, Haiyan 01 January 2019 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of controllable service quality factors as firm-based antecedents to two dimensions of customer engagement behavior among Formula One racing spectators. This study uses the theory of customer engagement (van Doorn et al., 2010) as a guiding framework and applies Bettencourt’s (1997) model of customer voluntary performance (CVP) to examine how perceptions of ancillary services and value can prompt management cooperation and prosocial behavior among spectators of a recurring mega sport event. Findings suggest that spectator interactions with event personnel and the physical environment can positively impact consumer perceptions of value and lead to greater fan engagement. Event organizers should focus management and marketing efforts on the utilitarian value (price/value for money) associated with attending a mega event and promote physical environment factors that can enhance the overall event experience.

Investigation of acoustic source characterisation and installation effects for small axial fans

Berglund, Per-Olof January 2003 (has links)
Fans are often used in equipment such as home appliances andelectronic equipment where the margin of profit is small butcustomers demands on a low noise level are high. Therefore, methods for predicting the noise emitted by an applicationincluding one or several fans are desirable in order toimprove, accelerate and reduce the cost of low-noise design. The Noise Shaping Technology (NST) has been developed withinthe EC-project NABUCCO in order to fulfil the aboverequirements on a prediction method. According to NST, thenoise source (not necessary a fan) is described by one orseveral noise descriptors, CSSs, and the correspondingtransmission paths through the structure described by one orseveral transfer functions, ACFs. In this thesis, theapplicability of NST is evaluated on a cabinet for electronicequipment where small axial cooling fans constitute the primarysources of the airborne sound. As an axial fan is a complex source of sound, simplifications are necessary when modelling its acousticproperties. Therefore, the sound radiation of an axial fan infree space was examined by expanding the generated soundpressure field into spherical harmonics. The conclusion on asource model for the cabinet example, where the fans are moreor less In-duct mounted, is a modified single axial dipole. Themodel is expected to be valid in the entire frequency range ofinterest except in the mid-frequency range where the modaldensity is low. In order to improve the source model in thisfrequency range, a future model based on a rotating dipole isproposed. The sound power of a small axial fan is measured in an ISO10302 test-rig. In order to take account of flow conditions, acoustically transparent ducts have been developed. These shallbe attached to the test-rig when measuring the sound power ofthe fan. A simple but practical method of how to correct thesound power for the baffling effect of the test-rig has alsobeen developed. Finally, the sound power can be converted intodipole force, which is the airborne CSS corresponding to thesingle axial dipole model. The corresponding airborne transfer function (ACF), i.e.,from dipole force at the source point to sound pressure at thereceiver point, is measured reciprocally by taking use ofLyamshevs reciprocity relation. From multiplication of the CSS and the ACF, the soundpressure can be predicted. The prediction shows quite goodagreement with the measured values. <b>Keywords:</b>axial fan, airborne sound, sourcecharacterisation, transmission path analysis, In-duct,spherical harmonics, rotating dipole, installation effects, ISO10302, flow conditions, baffling effect, acousticallytransparent ducts, Lyamshevs reciprocity relation, reciprocity,CSS, ACF, GSM, NST. / NR 20140805
