The Chamber Symphony is scored for flute/piccolo, clarinet/bass clarinet, piano, percussion, violin, and violoncello. It is cast in one continuous movement. There are three large sections, fast-slow-fast, which interpenetrate each other throughout the course of the work. / The composition is serial, built on rows of 7, 49, and 2401 notes.
