[pt] Esta pesquisa apresenta como proposta a análise do trabalho do assistente social numa modalidade de atenção à saúde pouco problematizada pela profissão: a Atenção Domiciliar. No processo da pesquisa, buscou-se refletir sobre a categoria trabalho e as suas especificidades no modo de produção capitalista, bem como, suas transformações e conjuntura atual no cenário brasileiro. Algumas perguntas norteiam os nossos estudos, sobretudo, a indagação sobre o trabalho do assistente social na política de Saúde e o seu papel na modalidade de atenção aqui analisada. As particularidades do trabalho e a compreensão da relação da situação atual da política de saúde no município do Rio de Janeiro com a dinâmica societária mais ampla trazem elementos importantes para entender as incidências no modo de vida e de trabalho cotidiano do assistente social na Atenção Domiciliar à Saúde. Nesse contexto, identificamos dois aspectos principais: o primeiro deles é o fato do atendimento ser realizado no domicílio - que é um espaço particular, íntimo do usuário e sua família, onde os profissionais vão encontrar diversos modos de vidas, histórias e hábitos. Isso significa que para o trabalho na Atenção Domiciliar é indispensável se despir de visões preconceituosas, para não conduzir o trabalho para um viés conservador. O segundo aspecto diz respeito aos cuidados serem feitos a partir de orientações à família, o que antes acontecia no ambiente hospitalar e por profissionais de saúde, agora acontece sob responsabilidade da família. A figura feminina assume centralidade nesse tipo de modalidade de atenção à saúde e para além das tarefas domésticas assumidas pelas mulheres nos seus domicílios por conta das diferenças de gênero reproduzidas em nossa sociedade patriarcal, a mulher assume também a função de cuidadora. Dessa maneira, existe um movimento que consideramos contraditório: se por um lado, o retorno para casa é significante para a qualidade de vida dos usuários e sua família, por outro pode trazer uma sobrecarga de responsabilidade de cuidados de saúde e domésticos imensuráveis para àqueles que aderem a esse tipo de programa. Para o trabalho do assistente social tais ponderações são fundamentais, já que pode ser um espaço em potencial na contribuição profissional para a garantia de direitos e melhoria da qualidade de vida da população, como também pode ser um solo produtivo para armadilhas conservadoras. / [en] This research presents as proposal the analysis of the work of the social worker in a health care modality little problematized by the profession: Home Care. In the process of research, we sought to reflect on the category of labor and its specificities in the capitalist mode of production, as well as its transformations and current situation in the Brazilian scenario. Some questions guide our studies, especially the question about the work of the social worker in Health policy and its role in the modality of attention analyzed here. The particularities of the work and the understanding of the relation of the current situation of the health policy in the city of Rio de Janeiro with the broader societal dynamics bring important elements to understand the implications in the way of life and daily work of the social worker in Home Care to the Saúde. In this context, we identify two main aspects: the first one is the fact that care is carried out at home - a private space, intimate for the user and his family, where professionals will find different ways of life, stories and habits. This means that for work in Home Care it is indispensable to get rid of prejudiced views, not to lead the work towards a conservative bias. The second aspect concerns care being taken from family orientations, what used to happen in the hospital environment and by health professionals, now happens under the responsibility of the family. The female figure assumes centrality in this type of health care modality and besides the domestic tasks assumed by the women in their homes because of the gender differences reproduced in our patriarchal society, the woman also assumes the role of caregiver. Thus, there is a movement that we consider to be contradictory: if, on the one hand, the return home is significant for the quality of life of the users and their family, on the other hand it can bring an immeasurable health care and household responsibility burden to those who adhere to this type of program. For the work of the social worker such considerations are fundamental, since it can be a potential space in the professional contribution to the guarantee of rights and improvement of the quality of life of the population, but it can also be a productive soil for conservative traps.
