Periferně zaváděný centrální žilní katétr - role sestry / Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter - a role of nurse

Rosypalová, Marta January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis is related to peripherally inserted central venous catheters (PICC), the role of nursing staff in inserting and care of these systems. The aim of the work, which is partly based on PICC project organized by the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, 1st Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University and General University Hospital in Prague, was to investigate the quality of life in patients with PICC after their insertion, to evaluate the incidence of complications (venous thrombosis, bacteraemia, sepsis, local infections, decubitus, disconnection of the system, mechanical complications, etc.) and compare the economic efficiency of PICC systems with other available methods. The aim of the second part of the thesis, which is unrelated to the previously mentioned project, was to reveal the awareness of nurses/paramedics on PICC catheter. This thesis has two traditional parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part deals initially with the central venous catheter in general and then it describes main features of the PICC systems. The following part reviews indications, insertion techniques and potential complications associated with the PICC systems. The role of nursing staff in the insertion and maintenance of these systems is also highlighted. The...

Řešení matematických úloh na druhém stupni ZŠ pomocí heuristických strategií / Heuristic strategies of mathematical problem solving on lower secondary school

Přibyl, Jiří January 2016 (has links)
The dissertation thesis deals with mathematical problem-solving at lower secon- dary level, as viewed from the perspective of heuristic strategies. The aim of the thesis is to comprehensibly summarize the results of research which began in 2012 and runs until now. The results concern both with theoretical and empirical parts of our research. This research study was conducted in fifteen lower secondary and upper secondary classes. Three dimensional classification of use of heuristic strategies and the structure of heuristic strategies' characteristics were developed by the author, and these constructs are presented in this work. The theory of mathematical problem and mathematical problem solving method is an integral part of this thesis too. Furthermore, the author presents a summary of all strategies used in the experiments; each strategy is fully described and illustrated by an appropriate example. The results of several short-term research studies (three months) and a longitudinal research study (sixteen months) are analysed in the empirical part of the thesis. This part also strives to find answers to several research questions, e.g.: " Could certain strategies be taught in a short-term period (three months)?", " Which strategies are suitable for an average pupil?" or " Are the pupils able to...

Metody krylovovských podprostorů - Analýza a aplikace / Krylov Subspace Methods - Analysis and Application

Gergelits, Tomáš January 2020 (has links)
Title: Krylov Subspace Methods - Analysis and Application Author: Tomáš Gergelits Department: Department of Numerical Mathematics Supervisor: prof. Ing. Zdeněk Strakoš, DrSc., Department of Numerical Mathematics Abstract: Convergence behavior of Krylov subspace methods is often studied for linear algebraic systems with symmetric positive definite matrices in terms of the condition number of the system matrix. As recalled in the first part of this thesis, their actual convergence behavior (that can be in practice also substantially affected by rounding errors) is however determined by the whole spectrum of the system matrix, and by the projections of the initial residual to the associated invariant subspaces. The core part of this thesis investigates the spectra of infinite dimensional operators −∇ · (k(x)∇) and −∇ · (K(x)∇), where k(x) is a scalar coefficient function and K(x) is a symmetric tensor function, preconditioned by the Laplace operator. Subsequently, the focus is on the eigenvalues of the matrices that arise from the discretization using conforming finite elements. Assuming continuity of K(x), it is proved that the spectrum of the preconditi- oned infinite dimensional operator is equal to the convex hull of the ranges of the diagonal function entries of Λ(x) from the spectral decomposition K(x) =...

Analýza a priori jako součást přípravy učitele na výuku / A priori analysis as a part of teacher's lesson planning

Nováková, Hana January 2014 (has links)
5 TITLE: A priori analysis as a part of teacher's lesson planning AUTHOR: Mgr. Hana Nováková DEPARTMENT: Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Education SUPERVISOR: Prof. RNDr. Jarmila Novotná, CSc. This thesis focuses on a priori analysis as a part of teacher's lesson planning. The theoretical background consists of the Theory of didactical situations in Mathematics (TDSM). In TDSM, the a priori analysis is seen as one of the teacher's tools that he/she has when planning a lesson. The goal of the thesis is to analyse differences between a priori analysis as described in TDSM and the reality in teacher's practice, to compare lesson plans of experienced teachers with those of students and demonstrate the significance and application of a priori analysis in teacher's and researcher's practice. The thesis consists of three parts, theoretical, experimental and applicational. In the theoretical part, the main concepts of TDSM linked with a priori analysis are explained and the issue of teacher's lesson planning is presented. The experimental part starts with a pre-experiment. Its results contributed to precise the structure of a priori analysis for further use. During the main experiment, the lesson plans of experienced teachers were compared with those of pre-service teachers. The differences and the...

TITLE: Studentsʼ problem posing as an indicator of mathematical culture of lower secondary students AUTHOR: Mgr. Jiří Bureš DEPARTMENT: Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Education SUPERVISOR: Prof. RNDr. Jarmila Novotná, CSc. ABSTRACT: This thesis is focused on studentsʼ problem posing as an indicator of mathematical culture of lower secondary students. The theoretical background consists of research on problem posing, word problems in mathematics, mathematical culture and the Theory of didactical situations in mathematics. The goal of the thesis is to analyse links between problem posing and studentsʼ mathematical culture through the analysis and description of the posed problems. The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and research part. In the theoretical part, there are the main findings about studentsʼ problem posing and some approaches to the concepts of word problems and mathematical culture, and the main concepts of the Theory of didactical situations used in the thesis. The research part starts with the analysis of the pre-experiment, which constitutes the basis for creation and characteristics of the conception of mathematical culture of problem posing. These parts are followed by the analysis of the main experiment, which provides the complete description of the posed problems...

Rozvoj inverzních úloh vedení tepla se zaměřením na velmi rychlé procesy v mikroskopických měřítcích / The Development of Inverse Heat Conduction Problems Focused on Very Fast Processes in Microscales

Bellerová, Hana January 2011 (has links)
The inverse heat conduction task is solved to determine boundary condition of the heat equation. This work deals with the ways how to increase the accuracy of the results obtained by solving inverse task based on the Beck sequential algorithm. The work is focused on the boundary condition changing very fast. This boundary condition is determinable with difficulty. It is shown that the placement and the type of the thermocouple play major role in accuracy of the calculation. The frequency of measuring and the discriminability of used devices also play a role as well as the setup of parameters in the inverse task. The election of mentioned parameters is described with regard to the speed of cooling. Knowledge from the theoretical part of the work is applied in the experimental part. The cooling intensity is investigated during spraying of the steel sample by water with nanoparticles Al2O3, TiO2, Fe and MWNT at three different concentrations. The experiments were carried out for three spray heights (40, 100, 160 mm), three flow rates (1, 1.5, 2 kg/min) and two types of the nozzle (full cone and solid jet). Surprisingly, the cooling intensity by using nanofluids is lower about 30% in comparison to the cooling intensity of pure water. But there was an exception. The cooling intensity of 1 wt.% of carbon nanotubes in water falling from the full cone nozzle placed in distance of 100 mm from the steel surface was higher about 174%. Finally, the reasons of the behavior of nanofluids are discussed.

Slovní úlohy s více řešeními a jejich místo na 1. stupni ZŠ / Word problems with different results at primary school

Švihnosová, Kristýna January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of word problems with different results, to which is not given systematic attention in the specialized literature. The focus of the work is to observe how pupils and teachers of elementary school work with a word problem with different results. The theoretical part focuses on the typology of word problems, the phases of their solution and solving strategies. Furthermore, the classification of word problems according to the number of results and the typology of word problems with different results is proposed. A significant part consists of the goals with which this type of task can be assigned in the teaching of mathematics and which change depending on the teacher and his approach to teaching. The work also deals with the basic characteristics of teaching styles. The selected qualitative research using the method of observation and questionnaire allows to describe the work of teachers with a word problem with different results and to identify elements of teaching styles, namely transmissive and constructivist approaches, which are reflected in the actions of teachers. An additional method is the analysis of selected textbooks in terms of the presence of word problems with different results, which reveals whether such tasks occur in textbooks and what...

Heuristiky pro kapacitní úlohy kurýrní služby / Heuristics for capacitated messenger problem

Přibylová, Lenka January 2013 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with static and dynamic capacitated messenger problem and its solving with heuristic algorithms. Different variations of the capacitated messenger problem were considered, with a single messenger or multiple messengers, with one depot or multiple depots in case of multiple messengers. Limited time for route realization was another modification that was considered. Modified nearest neighbour method, modified insertion method and modified exchange method were used to solve the problem. The main contribution of the thesis is deriving heuristics for described types of messenger problem and programming the algorithms in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) in MS Excel. The results of computational experiments indicate that modified nearest neighbour method leads to better outcomes in static multiple messenger problems with a single depot, while modified insertion method is associated with lower values of objective function in static multiple messenger problem with multiple depots. Modified exchange method improves original solutions. Modified insertion method was approved for solving dynamic multiple messenger problems.
