Zdravý životní styl v České republice / A Healthy life style in Czech Republic

Buriánková, Jitka January 2019 (has links)
This work gives an elementary insight into the issue of healthy lifestyles in terms of different perspectives, and so in this respect, we can follow up on Cockerham's study (2005), which offers a comprehensive paradigm of exploring a healthy lifestyle. The key issue lies in the debate on whether the choice of a healthy lifestyle is subject to structural influences or to individuals' choices (the classical problem of structure and behavior). The main aim of this work is to verify the determination of individual components of a healthy lifestyle. Due to the difficulty of finding one indicator, we examine separately the conditionality of healthy eating, smoking, drinking, sports. In the analysis of individual dimensions of a healthy lifestyle, we take into account not only the basic socio-demographic variables, but also the knowledge, attitude, well-being and compensation strategy as mediating factors of a healthy lifestyle. Enriching the analysis offers the inclusion of compensatory theory, because these strategies weaken the rationality of action. Compensation strategies play an important role in risky behavior. In this, our knowledge in the Czech environment is unique. The hypotheses are verified on a representative set of research "Aktér 2013" (N = 1088), carried out by STEM, which included...

Chronotyp, denní režim a jeho souvislosti se sociodemografickými charakteristikami a životním stylem / Chronotype, daily regime and its relationship with socio-demographic characteristics and life style

Cápíková, Markéta January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses of czech population's description from the perspective of chronotype and its relationship to sociodemographic characteristics and to variables affecting lifestyle. The aim of this thesis is to describe the sample examined in terms of social jetlag. The thesis is based mainly on quantitative methods, specifically I was using individual forms of regression analyzes, which allow to capture the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable. The analytical part data from Qualitas 2016 survey within the AV21 Strategy project are processed. The analysis revealed the existence of an association between chronotype and gender, respectively between chronotype and age. It also turned out that extreme owls consume addictive substances to a greater extent than extreme larks. Owls also generally have higher BMI, lower psychological well-being and more often suffer from social jetlag than those with early circadian preference. However, the social jetlag does not only concern respondents with late circadian preference, but the whole sample analyzed. The average length of social jetlag in the sample is 66 minutes. The analysis also revealed the link between social jetlag and addictive substance abuse.

Srovnání diagnostických nástrojů u parafiliků se zaměřením na pedofilii / Comparison of Accuracy and Precision of Sexodiagnostic Methods of Penile Plethysmography and Viewing Time

Trojan, Ondřej January 2017 (has links)
Charles University Prague, Czech Rep. Raculty of Philosophy Department of Psychology Doctoral Theses Comparison of Accuracy and Precision of Sexodiagnostic Methods of Penile Plethysmography and Viewing Time Ondřej Trojan, 2017 Abstract The diagnosis of pedophilia denotes (according to ICL 10) the erotic preference for prepubescent or early pubescent children. Penile plethysmography (PPG) measures the reaction of these men in respon- se to either visual stimuli or to erotic narrative stories including child objects. Penile plethysmography is quite an intrusive assessment method, so viewing time (VT) might be a good alternative if it is shown to be compapratively accurate. Several studies in the past have shown inconsistent data, therefore more research is needed to confirm its validity in distinguishing responses to the preferred age category of pedophilic men. Method: Participants were 30 self-referred admitting paedophiles aged between 18 and 55 in the experimental group and 30 heterosexual gynephile men in the comparison group. A set of photographs depicting naked adults in addition to male and female children across 6 age categories ranging from young infants to adolescents was used; the same set of 38 stimuli were used to measure PPG (first) and VT(after). PPG apparatus was used to measure penile...

Jazyková variace ve vyjadřování minulosti v soudních záznamech z Old Bailey ("The Proceedings of the Old Bailey") / Variation in expressing the past in "The Proceedings of the Old Bailey"

Irwin, Zuzana January 2015 (has links)
(in English) This thesis explores relationships among the tenses that express the past in the English language. Among these tenses are: past simple, past continuous, present perfect, present perfect continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. The research focuses on the variation between the past simple (which also includes past continuous) and the present perfect (which also includes progressive constructions). The researched variation is the use of the past simple in the context of the present perfect in which the Present-Day English (PDE) would use the present perfect, and vice versa. Three decades (1731-1740, 1791-1800, and 1861-1870) were chosen from the eighteenth and the nineteenth centuries. The findings were compared to the PDE situation. The material was collected from an online database called The Proceeding of the Old Bailey, which is believed to be one of the most reliable sources that are representative of the spoken language of the day. It was thought that the variation would be observed best in spontaneous spoken language. The aim was to study spoken language that was influenced by the grammatical prescriptivism of the age only marginally. There was an expectation that the occurrence of the past simple in the context of the present perfect would gradually decrease...

Cykličnost a linearita času v českém jazykovém obrazu světa / Cyclical and Linear Time in the Czech Linguistic Picture of the World

Svašková, Jana January 2014 (has links)
I. Abstract The thesis deals with the concept of time and its conceptualisation in the Czech language. It is based on the theory of conceptual metaphor and the theory of linguistic worldview. Within the field of cognitive linguistics, the theory of conceptual metaphor is mainly applied in the identification of the source domains of metaphors used for language expression of the target domains. The first part of the thesis deals with the reflection of the "time" phenomenon, with its non- linguistic concept. Attention is paid to the concept of the cyclical and linear time. The second part aims to identify metaphors used in Czech for the expression of time relations and for the expression of the time phenomenon. The paper analyses the language plane in order to find such metaphors. It employs semantic and etymological analysis of words used when expressing the notion of time, i.e. nouns, adjectives, verbs, prepositions, and interjections.
