Böhmerwald zwischen Wirklichkeit und Phantasie: Deutsch-tschechische Literatur- und Kulturlandschaft / Šumava between Reality and Fantasy: Czech-German literary and cultural landscape

DITRICHOVÁ, Hana January 2018 (has links)
The topic of the following thesis is an analysis of the changing perception of Šumava as a space in selected Czech and German texts that belong to the literature of the Šumava district. The basis of the thesis is the theory of spatial turn which was developed during the 1980s and is particularly associated with Michel Foucault's concept of "different spaces". Within the framework of this theory, the thesis deals with the arrangement of spaces that are typical of the Šumava region: the space of forest, mountains and borders. Šumava as a literary space is then characterised as a background scenery, a space influencing the plot and a personified space. In the last section of the thesis, two tendencies of landscape representation are highlighted: the fantastic and the realistic. Part of the thesis is also devoted to a literary overview of Czech and German literature from the Šumava district written in the period from the 19th century to the present day.

Společenstva mnohonožek a stonožek přirozeně se vyvíjejících a asanovaných horských smrčin Šumavy. / Communities of millipedes and centipedes in the naturally disturbed and rehabilitated mountain spruce forests of the Šumava Mts.

VELÍŠEK, Lukáš January 2014 (has links)
The aim of the study was to describe and compare the communities of soil invertebrates esp. millipedes and centipedes at selected localities in the Březník area, the Šumava National Park. The work pursues the two approaches to the management of the mountain spruce forests which were affected by bark beetle and where their remediation has been applied or they have been left to the spontaneous development. Non-intervention management has a positive impact on the populations of millipedes and centipedes comparing to the assemblages of other soil invertebrates. In the case two types of management, they are no significant differences in the composition of soil macrofauna in both studied variants.

Poetika a malebnost v krajině / Poetics and picturesque in a landscape

Havránková, Lucie January 2016 (has links)
The subject of the thesis is a description and depiction of poetics and picturesqueness of landscape using the elements of East Asian landscape poetry as a source of inspiration to perceive the beauty of the landscape surrounding the South Bohemian village of Kvilda. Based on the study of landscape poetry texts, a specific mountain trail was chosen to capture this poetics and picturesqueness. By choosing well-selected stopovers on this trail, the thesis is aimed to evoke the perception of poetic elements of nature in the overall context of the surrounding countryside. Here, the text description of the esthetic values of landscape and environment is the way to create a project of revitalized landscape with picturesque features and specific vegetation species. This work is also explained in the context of Šumava, which is described in the introductory part of the thesis so that the reader will gain a better understanding of the project setting. This introduction acquaints us with the natural and artistic background of Šumava and the environs of the village of Kvilda that surround the trail. The whole project comprises the analysis of the environment of each stopping place on the trail, the description of its main points of interest and the transformation of the place in different seasons of the year in respect of a particular landscape feature. Each stopover is supplemented with landscape poetry texts with the aim to capture the atmosphere of the place even better. At the end of each chapter associated with a particular stopping place there are art displays which are specific to this environment. These should acquaint the visitors with the environment and offer them an inspiration that each place conceals. The whole project imitates a tour through nature and draws attention to individual points of interest in the landscape, which we so often tend to overlook. The above aspects can also be applied to garden and landscape design.

Zhodnocení vývoje kulturní krajiny ve vybraných lokalitách Šumavy / Cultural landscape development in the selected study areas of the Šumava

Drahorádová, Štěpánka January 2017 (has links)
This thesis follows the development of the area of cultural landscape in the Šumava National Park. It follows the detailed development of particular land use categories in selected areas. Specifically speaking about the cadastral area of Horská Kvilda, as one separate area, and the second one consists of cadastral areas of former villages Bučina and Knížecí Pláně. The entire development land use changes in the study areas is divided into three time periods according to availability of data. First period contains the compulsory imperial maps of stabile cadastre, which were performed in 1826 and 1837. Following period is based on the aerial pictures dated 1947 till 1962. The timeline is closed by the current orthophotomap from year 2014. The text part of this thesis deals firstly with the general issue of landscaping and subsequently describes particular development of cultural landscape in Šumava. In the graphical part it can found all available map sources vectorised, divided into separate land use categories of the chosen localities. In the whole National Park area, vectorised zones are divided into forest and non-forest parts. The results show differences in range of particular land use areas and enable us to observe the development of Šumava landscape throughout the time. These resutls pointing out present time trend of development of study areas as well as the need of specific management practices to keep their ecological values.

Vývoj a perspektivy návštěvnosti Chalupské a Jezerní slatě (NP Šumava) / Development end perspectives of attendance of two peat bogs (Chalupská a Jezerní slať) in Šumava National Park

DUTKA, Ladislav January 2013 (has links)
Peat bogs of the Šumava National Park are very valuable biotopes with an occurrence of the specific flora and fauna, including glacial relicts. These localities are also very attractive for tourists, so it is important to find the reasonable compromise between an attendance and a nature protection. The study is dealing with the development of touristic attendance of two peat bogs from 2010 to 2012 and enlarges my bachelor?s work (Comparison of attendance of two peat bogs (Chalupská a Jezerní slať) in Šumava National Park). The work is divided into two parts. The first, theoretical part, includes a literary review about the character of the Šumava?s peat bogs and the tourism in those localities. A practical part monitors the attendance of the peat bogs and analyses the research via questionnaire, focused on the specifics of the tourists, their priorities during visit of the peat bogs and transport to those localities. The research was connected to bachelor?s work ? there were also 5 terms of field monitoring, the dates in 2012 were close to the dates in 2010 and the number of the panelled questionnaires was the same, 200. So the results of both years could be easily compared. It was found that the number of peat bogs? visitors increases. There were 1438 visitors on Jezerní slať and 1106 on Chalupská slat peat bog. Jezerní slať was more visited than Chalupská slať in both 2010 and 2012. Most of the visitors came by bicycle, but the number of visitors who came by bus was increased. Huge increase was found in number of dogs, which was really surprising. The visitors of Jezerní slať more often stayed in camping sites than in 2010. The problem of possible development and perspectives of investigated peat bogs is also outlined in the end of the work.

Populační hustota srnce obecného (Capreolus capreolus) v oblasti Hartmanicka (JZ Čechy) / Population density of the roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) in Hartmanice district (SW Bohemia, Czech Republic)

Večeřová, Petra January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis was based on frequently discussed topic of population density in hoofed game. The monitored area is in the south-west of Bohemia, in Hartmanice. The greater part of the territory extends into the conservation area and a smaller part od the Šumava National park, with this work focusing on the population density of roe deer. To determine population densities, two methods were used, one direct method and one indirect method. For the direct method, a census method was used for the roe deer from a high seat and the indirect method, a method of counting droppings was used on a sample of regulary cleaned surfaces. Counting was carried out on transects of 200 m2 (100 x 2 m) or (50 x 4 m). The present results indicate that the population of roe deer is seeing a long downward trend. Most roe deer prefer the brushwood at lower altitudes, at an altitude of 525 to 650 m above sea level (asl), with less occuring in the positions of the altitude of 950 to 1125 m asl. The habitat least preferred by roe deer was forests aged 81 years and older.

Dynamika zarůstání přehrazených odvodňovacích rýh na revitalizovaných rašeliništích na území Modravských slatí v NP Šumava / Dynamics of moss overgrowth in ditches in restorated drained mires in area of Modrava bogs (Šumava NP)

Novozámská, Eva January 2010 (has links)
Eva Novozámská Dynamics of moss overgrowth in ditches in restorated drained mires in area of Modrava bogs (Šumava NP) Abstract This thesis is devoted to a research of induced and natural Sphagnum overgrowth in dammed ditches in restorated drained mires of Šumava National Park within the "Programme of Peatland restoration". Induced overgrowth was studied on the peatlands Cikánská slať, Luzenská slať and Novohuťské močály and 36 permanent experimental sites were established for its study. In 2006 Sphagnum fallax or Sphagnum majus were placed in each site in dependence on the type of locality. For four years increase or decrease of Sphagnum were monitored. The study of natural overgrowth was investigated on the same localities as induced overgrowth. The Sphagnum cover was noted in the year 2009 at 65 sites. The depth of the ditch and the flow of water were the most important variables influencing natural overgrowth and the cover was almost the same on all localities. In the case of induced overgrowth the most important parameters were depth and width of the ditch, amount of the branch support and the interaction of depth and width. The depth of the ditch in the case of natural overgrowth was used to generate a model for prediction of Sphagnum cover. It was possible to compare the induced overgrowth with the...
