Genderové nerovnosti v Keni / Gender inequalities in Kenya

The topic of this thesis is a gender inequality in Kenya. The main goal is to identify a Kenya's position within the East African Community in term sof gender inequality. The position is identified through descriptive comparison of gender indexes and other indicators, and furthermore through their achieved results within the Millennium Development Goals, particularly those focused on gender issues. Another comparison is held among the members states of East African Community on the basis of government's approach towards such issues. Second goal of the thesis is to analyse the gender inequality in Kenya. Specifically the main causes and factors which influence the inequality in Kenya. I tis important as the causes and factors of such inequality have negative effect on the relation between socio-economic growth and decreasing gender inequality. In other words, the thesis analyses the gender inequality on two level - "externalʼʼ (international comparison) and "internalʼʼ (discussion of the conditionality of gender inequality in Kenya). Title: Evulation the level of acquiring selected skills of artistic gymnastics in the basic training stage Objectives: The main goal to be achieved in my thesis is to asses the changes in the adoption level of selected motor skills of gymnasts aged 7-9 years in the basic training. Methods: I used qualitative and quantitative methods of research to resolve main goals of this thesis and to find answers on established scientific questions and the resulting hypothesis. The most important is the choice of appropriate criterion of evaluation according to the evaluation of the adoption level of selected gymnastic skills.Gained datas will be processed through statistics methods. Training diary will be used to monitor and record the content of the training. Results: Results show that the adoption level of selected skills improved at predetermined skills as well as for all the tested gymnasts. Keywords: artistic gymnastics, evaluation, gymnastics skills

Resumé " The equal treatment and prohibition of discrimination in Labour law" This thesis deals with the principles of equal treatment and prohibition of discrimination, which belong to the most substantial principles of European and international law as well as in todays Czech law. These principles are dealt with in many international treaties, in the legislation of the European Union and also in the so called Czech Antidiscrimination Act 2009. Special emphasis is placed particularly on equal treatment between men and women and on the prohibition of discrimination on grounds of gender. The thesis is composed of introduction and seven chapters, each of them deals with different aspects of prohibition of discrimination and equal treatment. Chapter One and Two is introduction into the Czech Labour law and basic principles of Labour law. Chapter Three defines basic terminology used in the thesis: discrimination (direct and indirect discrimination, positive and negative discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, instruction to discriminate, etc.). 77 Summary The topic of this thesis is discrimination on the grounds of sex and its prohibition. The purpose of my thesis is to analyse and evaluate historical and present level of legal enactment of the equality between men and women and prohibition of discrimination. I focused on the law of EU, relevant documents of International law and on the legal order of the Czech republic. The thesis is composed of five chapters, Chapter One is introductory and defines basic terminology used in the thesis like equality and types of discrimation. The chapter Two examines relevant international agreements and other documents, chapter Three focuses on legal enactment of equal treatment and prohibition of discrimination in the primary and secindary law of EU, together with the relevant case law of the Court of Justice of the EU. The chapter Four is dedicated to the relevant Czech legislation, followed by chapter Five which provides an outline of relevant Czech case law, and level of legal protection against discrimination in effect.

Legislation of the women's position on labor market Abstract The aim of this thesis called "Legislation of the women's situation on labor market" is to describe not only current situation but also historic progression of women's position in employment relations. It is focused on the regulation of equal treatment and the prohibition of discrimination in international law, European law and Czech law and also on special working conditions of women, which are established for protection of female employees during pregnancy and maternity. I also try to acquaint readers with judicial decisions in this area. Women's situation on labor market was not always great and they had to fought for better position. Traditional arrangement where house keeping and raising kids is naturally considered as women's responsibility is still common in most families. That is why lots of women have to learn how to coordinate mother's role and their job. My thesis is divided into five chapters. Despite the fact that the priciples of equality of men and women are anchored in the international, regional and national laws, the actual fulfulment of the principle of equal pay in the European countries is not satisfactory. This thesis is trying to provide a systematic overview of the relevant legal regulation of the principle of equal pay on the international and European level. The impact of national economic factors and education on the employees' remuneration in selected countries of European Union

The aim of this diploma thesis is to provide synoptic comparison of economic conditions of the selected labour markets together with the information for workers about the possibility of reachable financial remuneration of their work performance within selected EU countries. The theoretical part includes theoretical background about the national economic factors and its current situation within the selected countries. The practical part analyzes how national economic factors, education or gender can influence the remuneration. The last chapter summarizes the obtained results and describes the differences on labour markets in selected countries.
