This essay aims to study upper secondary school students' perspectives on controversial public issues (CPI). The chosen CPI for this study was criminality and integration. The purpose is broad and aims to shed light on students' interpretations, feelings and thougts about CPI as a basis for teaching. In order to create a teaching situation to support the wide purpose, a case study in the form of a teaching sequence was staged. The sequence was performed by me, the author of this essay. It was planned and executed using Victoria Williamssons CPI-model. In order to collect data to analyze the students' perspectives, a survey was handed out to the class. This essay needed to adress multiple ethical questions as I, the author, participated as both a researcher and a teacher at the same time. This is perhaps best illustrated by the decision to gather data through a survey, instead of performing interviews. Even though a qualitative interview-method could have captured the complexity of the students' perspectives, a survey allowed me to distance myself from my own students. On order to sort and analyze the survey questions, the didactical triangle (subject, student, teacher) was implemented to better understand the results. The results show that the students' understanding of the controversy varies, and that the teacher's management of group discussions is seen as important. Furthermore the students express that they appreciate practicing critical discussion wit their classmates. Three of the students admit to having xenophobic views prior to the teaching sequence and that the sequence helped them gain a more nuanced perception of Swedens's multicultural dempographic.

This project will examine and describe to what extent Swedish physics teachers in uppersecondary school test their students on conceptual understanding within the chapter ofmechanics. To achieve this, we compared The Force Concept Inventory, a test developed tomeasure students understanding of mechanics, and a well-established digital tool calledKunskapsmatrisen. Previous studies in Physics Education Research (PER), have found that asignificant proportion of students lack understanding of the most basic concepts of mechanics.The purpose of this project is to enhance the knowledge of learning physics and contribute tothe research on to high-school students’ ability to understand different kind of concepts withinmechanics. Bloom’s taxonomy will be used as a framework for the analysis of the test itemsavailable on Kunskapsmatrisen, to determine whether they test conceptual understanding ornot. We conclude that only a small proportion of the test items available on Kunskapsmatrisenactually test conceptual understanding. Furthermore, this project also includes an English to Swedish translation of the Force Concept Inventory. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om utvalda matematiska problem fungerar som stöd vid identifiering av barn med förmåga och fallenhet för matematik. Studien ämnar även till att visa hur förmågorna enligt Krutetskii kan visa sig på ett konkret sätt. Ytterligare ett syfte är att inspirera andra lärare och skolledare till att stödja och stimulera barn med förmåga och fallenhet för matematik. I en fallstudie följer vi en pojke under höstterminen i årskurs 4. Fallstudien visar att de utvalda problemen fungerar väl som identifikationsmedel av barn med förmåga och fallenhet för matematik. Med flera konkreta exempel visar studien hur förmågorna kan ge sig till känna i arbetet med problemlösning som matematisk aktivitet. Glädjen och tillfredsställelsen pojken visar när han lyckas lösa och förstå problem som utmanat honom matematiskt är även värt att notera. / The purpose of this study is to investigate if chosen mathematical problems work as a support for the identification of children with high abilities in mathematics. The study aims to identify the children with these abilities, according to Krutetskii, in a concrete way. Another purpose is to inspire other teachers and leading persons within the school world, to support and stimulate children with high abilities in mathematics. In a case-study, we follow a boy during the autumn term in the fourth grade. The study shows that the chosen mathematical problems work well to identify children with a high ability in mathematics. With several concrete examples, the study shows how theses mathematical abilities within the child are revealed in the work with problem solving as a mathematical activity. The joy and satisfaction the boy shows, when he succeeds in solving and understanding the mathematical problems that have challenged him, is also worth taking notice of. / <p>ORCID: 0000-0001-8449-130X</p>

Denna studie utgår från en frånvaro av forskning som fokuserar på planeringen av musikverksamheten inom förskolan. Därav framkom studiens syfte att ur ett musikdidaktiskt perspektiv undersöka och analysera om och hur förskollärare planerar för musikverksamhet. Studiens empiri har analyserats utifrån en grund i Nielsens (2010) allmän- och musikdidaktiska teori samt andra utgångspunkter som Vallberg-Roths (2020) didaktiska triangel som modell för att få syn hur på samverkan mellan olika aktörer påverkar och går in i varandra. För att undersöka eventuella skillnader i planeringsarbetet för förskollärare som aktivt planerar för musikverksamhet och den generella förskolläraren tillämpades en flervalsmetod med inkluderat av kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer av musikprofilerade förskollärare och en kvantitativ enkätundersökning som skickades ut i ett frågeformulär via sociala medier på ett förskoleforum. Resultatet visar att de musikprofilerade förskollärarna är ensamma i planeringen av den musikdidaktiska verksamheten vilket påverkar begränsningarna i deras planeringsmöjligheter. Den generella förskolläraren planerar snarare för utförandet av musiken. Det kan bero på en kunskapsbrist och osäkerhet i hur musiken planeras. Det finns även en brist på planeringstid för förskollärare som aktivt planerar för musikverksamhet vilket resulterar i flera spontana genomföranden. En bred musikdidaktisk kompetens kan möjliggöra för flera musikaktiviteter och former kan inrymmas i den didaktiska planeringen. Dessa diskuteras i relation till den tidigare forskningen.
