此次的研究要是要探討人口老化是否會直接或間接影響儲蓄率升降，並且針對近18年來台灣20各縣市儲蓄率的變動來進行探討，利用文獻探討中所提及的各項解釋變數，再加入此次的重點人口老化這個變數來檢驗分析人口老化是否會影響儲蓄率的變動。
