台灣熱交換器產業經營策略之研究 / A Case Study of Strategic Management of The Heat Exchanger Industry in Taiwan

台灣的熱交換器產業,源始於1950年代中期的石化工業創建,當時政府政策鼓勵石化相關產業的推展,因此由政府主導的中國石油首先承接日據時代所建立的生產據點陸續修建工廠進而生產,並帶動台灣石化產業起飛,所以熱交換器產業曾經有過一段極為風光的時期。但是由於大環境的改變,大部分國內具有企業規模的熱交換器製造廠,近年來面臨市場上削價競爭的情形造成營業額或毛利不斷下降的情形,不是被迫縮小規模或是關廠;不然就是外移大陸找尋下一個新發展的契機,然而本研究不認為這是一個根本的解決之道,因為在未來的一、二十年內,如果還是靠現在僅有的製造技術能力而沒有提升自己的研究或發展的能力的話歷史勢必重演,因此本研究希望以透過深入個案訪談的方式,探討台灣熱交換器產業的經營策略及轉型的契機,期能對個案公司未來的發展有所助益,更希望能對台灣的熱交換器產業提出有幫助的建議。 / The chemical industry in Taiwan was establishing from middle of 1950, in the same era, the Taiwan’s heat exchanger industry was forming. In the following 40 years, the heat exchanger industry was booming with the chemical industry in Taiwan. However, the heat exchanger market became very competitive because of the demand was slow down; the competitor was increase and the depression in these years. While facing these problems, most of the heat exchanger maker either down sizing in order to survive or move the manufacturing base to China for their low cost labor. However, this research tries to find out a better way to solve the situation that mention above for the heat exchanger industry in Taiwan. The price competition will always happen while the market is mature; therefore cost down strategy is always not enough for any enterprise. This research will prove there are several better strategies to deal with the severe price competition in Taiwan’s heat exchanger industry from a case study. Besides, this research will also try to offer several strategic management suggestions for the enterprise of the heat exchanger in Taiwan.
